Problem is all of Goku and Vegeta's kids/grankids lack the fighting spirit. Gohan became a scholar, which is the equivalent of a janitor in the DBZ world. Goten had his chance but ended up as a wannabe Hugh Heffner. Trunks was on course and had some potential until GT when he took the backseat to Goku. Pan never even becomes a super sayain. Bra is Bra.

They needed a kid that wanted to follow in their footsteps and become a strong fighter till the end, not giving up when they turn 13 and deciding to live life as a Yamcha

Hence why Goku goes off with Uub. Too bad GT squandered that.

That's all after Goku's death though (when he starts losing strength due to his death approaching and then decides to have a final match with Vegeta, where both disappear). So, we probably won't ever see it in any Dragonball series even if they decide to stick with the DB Online future.

Vegeta is Goku's true waifu.

Unlike Gohan, we didn't get to see Goten and Trunk's upbringing as teenagers. So I'm wondering if their general disinterest in fighting is due to them not caring or due to them not having to care after Buu died. Why would they train after Buu if nothing happened after Buu?

Martial arts tournaments and such? Facing world destroying threats isn't the only reason to train. The humans trained just fine back during Dragonball, without any goal in mind aside from besting their rivals and winning tournaments. Most only stopped in DBZ due to being left impossibly behind by the aliens.

This is the best fanart

Real talk: a lot of the DBZ filler was actually pretty fun and not as bad as people make it out to be.

Especially if you compared it to the Big 3 right now. Naruto is garbage in terms of fillers and there is so much of it. Hell the series is in filler mode still when the manga ended a year ago. That 100 episode continuous filler hell *Shutters*

Milking their cashcow before it goes away. The studio sucks ass. The animation quality is straight up garbage.

Could be worse, could be Toei. They have some incredibly talented animation teams on board. But it's only ever so often it really shines.

The filler is really bad though and also very unnececary. They can finish up the show, do the Gaiden stuff and then make their own successor a la Dragonball GT if they so desire. (if possible)

Holding the main story up like this is just such a sad state of affairs.

I personally think Toei is a better studio. Studio Pierrot hardly even shows up. The last time they showed up was Kakashi vs Obito I think. I'm still seriously pissed off that Naruto's 9-tails mode unleashing episode was utter dog shit for such an important moment.

Glad Toei made the SSJ2 Gohan unleashing episode worth it.

Its so terrible how such successful shows get handled so poorly. Naruto has had 8 Canon episodes this year...8!! And one pieces pace is so damn slow. Than i watch something like one punch man andi die inside because it's so beautiful

At least Super has had a pretty good pace, especially the post BoG stuff so far. Hopefully they can keep up a good pace once we get into the original material.

I don't know, it decreased over time but I felt the characters were still pretty relevant at least until the Buu saga. Only the minor guys from dragon ball became phased out but most of the time it was a team affair.

I felt like the Cell Saga was the best one for this.

Even scrubs like Tien and Krillin were getting actual stuff to do.

Shin Kikoho! Shin Kikoho! Shin Kikoho! Shin Kikoho! Shin Kikoho! Shin Kikoho! Shin Kikoho! Shin Kikoho! Shin Kikoho! Shin Kikoho! Shin Kikoho! Shin Kikoho! Shin Kikoho!

(And thus ends Tien's work in Cell Saga)

I don't care about charcters becoming irrelevant or less prominent aslong as they are being replaced by new and interesting characters. That happened with charcters like oolong, roshi and yamcha etc as the series went on and will inevitably continue as charcters like beerus and whis become main characters

BUT IT WAS BADASS AS FUCK. Tenshinhan is easily my favorite human character tied with Kuririn. Kuririn is the strongest human tho

Goku, Vegeta, Beerus, Whis, and the new guy will probably be the main cast for a bit, along with maybe some new peeps from Universe 6. Hopefully Piccolo and Buu stay around for awhile.

He shows up and is KO'd by Buu, I think. So there's that.

Anything else that I'm forgetting?

He kicks ass in the 1,000 soldier fight in F.

I wonder what will happen to Yamcha. I want him to have his own comedic one-off episode in Super, similar to Vegeta. Maybe Toei can play off the idea Toriyama proposed of him being an employee in a host club until he flirted too seriously.

Nothing. We will just forget about him. He doesn't deserve the time or thought.

I don't like tien's new outfit for fights. The clothes are awesome and they look great, but in a fight it feels like it would be unwieldy. Big ass baggy pants and baby sleeves. That shit would totally get in the way in a real fight.
