Indivisible: Valkyrie Profile/Metroid, Indiegogo, PC/Mac/Linux/PS4/XB1 -- funded!

I backed it yesterday after finally finding time to play the prototype. Took me 6 or 7 tries to beat the boss.

For some reason I always thought "Valkyrie Profile combat" meant "janky real-time" a la Odin Sphere and was therefore hesitant.

Can it really do 300k for "the last push"? I always heard campaigns lost pledges in that time. D:
Do you realize how hard it is to take back and Indiegogo pledge? You already sent the money; this isn't like KS where you can just LOLJK and pull it. You have to contact people. Difficulty is an excellent deterrent.

It's not really THAT difficult to take back an IGG pledge. You just click the Request Refund button on your confirmation email or on your Pledge History and it's done. This can only be done before a campaign ends is all.

The only real hurdle that differentiates KS and IGG is that you already need to have the money available to make that pledge in the first place. Can't just claim a 20k tier without 20k to spare at the time.
That is definitely a thing that discourages fake pledges, but if you really want to game the system as a troll you still can.

It's more difficult. And that's still a deterrent.

Hm, in the demo. The button mapping for each character remains the same despite which way the party is facing. It's a bit disorienting. Would anyone like it if the button mapping followed the actual positioning of the party members?

Well the first thing here is there's already an option for that in the settings menu (included due to feedback after the initial protype release might i add). But also this sounds weird because buttons matching party orientation is supposed to be the default style as far as i know

All these Undertale names being tossed around aren't spoilers in themselves, are they?
Not really, but I think it'd be good for people throwing around a couple names to sit down and think about who that's serving besides people who have already played and completed the entirety of the game. Some of these suggestions are not wise.

Been trying to. It won't let me :(

Been having this problem since I created an account at the beginning of this campaign. Going to have to recover password or something.

To those that have already pledged and upped it, how does it work for this exactly? Like, the money gets taken right away by pledging I think, but then if you go higher, does it take the difference, or a whole amount then refund the first?

SPOILER ALERT: This is why I like KS to begin with, it seems much simpler as a backer. :\

Yeah, I had the same problem, and I hadn't even realized I had made an account to begin with. I had to do a password recovery, since none of my usual passwords were working. Odd thing was that it did end up being one of my typical passwords so, I dunno.

Kickstarter appears to be a better site for the people backing projects, between being a bit more user friendly and users not having to pay until a campaign is fully funded. (I might note, the later probably helps KS campaigns get those big numbers you always hear about.) Indiegogo however appears to be a lot more friendly towards the people running the campaigns, between having fewer fees, extensions, slacker backer options, etc etc. So each has their plus side, and hopefully Indiegogo works on making their site a bit more user friendly in the future.

Kampan? More like KAPOW! (That should be her catch-phrase <3 At least when she punches things). It says here that Kampan is Taiwanese for "fist" which seems super fitting (this game is so educational!). It seems weird that's she's know for her agility but then carries around an arm (is it a prosthetic?) that's bigger than her own body :P I will say though that increasing the size of her arm from the initial design was the right move. It really helps the character standout not just within the cast but also compared to other character designs out there in general. The color scheme is something I totally didn't expect but also works great for her. I'm also expecting a lot of:

Don't let me down :P

Okay, five days left, so I guess the campaign ends around mid-day Friday?

I think it actually ends on Saturday, December 5th at 4am EST. Ravidrath probably has the exact/more accurate end time on hand though.

FTFY :P

Sorry guys could only give 30$ I'm really not that interrested but when I see you all trying to make it work I dont mind giving this much.

So this is apparently a thing.

They're all excellent! I'm going to have to echo Sou Da, though; B's probably the best (I know it's the least-different design, but the outfit's the best IMO, especially with the Zebra print as a nod to the actual Zubaz brand), but a multi-sectioned staff would be the best way to make his rope fit the setting. Still, I like the idea of The Baz fighting the party barehanded, too...

Wait. The Baz? the dude who Shovel Knight Freaking pwnd and turned into a bawling tantrumy wreck?

Yeah, okay, I can go for round two, as long as There's extra dialogue if SK is in the party during the fight. XD
