Indivisible: Valkyrie Profile/Metroid, Indiegogo, PC/Mac/Linux/PS4/XB1 -- funded!

That's true. Undertale is hot right now.

Mmhmm. I have many friends who aren't backing this game despite my current urgings, but the presence of an Undertale character would make them slam money down so hard.

Heck, I'd raise my pledge a third time if I saw Papyrus or Sans' faces next to Ajna.

Sans would be excellent, I'm not sure if it really could happen.

Woolie came through, brehs.

There's no way Woolie is letting this campaign fail.

I'm not sure people suggesting Sans have entirely thought out what that means from the perspective of someone who hasn't played Undertale yet. I don't think it's, uh, feasible.

Undyne is still the best fit for the sort of game Indivisible is and what would be 'safe' to showcase. Out of the Undertale characters that is.

EDIT: Did Woolie do a thing?

EDIT2: WOAH WOOLIE DID A THING

EDIT3: Just checked the tiers again. Guess it's The Baz as a boss!

Undertale is PC exclusive. I doubt we'll see anyone from there, however cool that may be.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if it worked out that way.

It might be a PC exclusive, but it's still s very popular character from aGOTY contender. A lot of people know him. I'd love to see him, but I think we have enough time in the campaign or if toby will let lab zero use him.

My point was that all the other guests are from, or will be from multiplatform games. Not sure if that is a criteria for a guest appearing in this game--since the goal is for Indivisible to be multiplatform as well, and having a PC exclusive character appear on the consoles might not be what they're looking for.

Though that may not be the case at all.

Yeah, Undyne fits better. Sans... Sans is too lazy for fighting. :B

Why is a PC exclusive?
It'll be ported to other systems in time, not allthings stay 'exclusive' forever :P

From Super Best Friends a Youtube channel.
Given its gamebreaking shenanigans and that, I think, the middleware Toby used doesn't have a ps4 or one version, I think it's safe to assume it's going to be a PC exclusive.

Yeah. Sans is far better as a character, but Undyne's still fantastic and is actually a warrior; the only thing she has going against her is that she'd be a 2nd spear user. Even then, though, she'd almost certainly work differently than Phoebe, so I'm sure she'd be fine.
Personally, I'd prefer Papyrus, but despite wanting to be a warrior, I'll admit his "true pacifist" mentality means it'd be weird to even see him kill basic monsters.

And here I was thinking The Baz'd miss out on Indivisible. I don't know if I'm more excited for the $5,000 push toward the goal or the fact that The Baz is 99% likely to be a boss now!

Undertale also runs on Mac, so technically not entirely exclusive.

You know who would be a good guest character?

Eh?

EH?

Nice to see that funding went well overnight. I think funding wasn't even at 1170K when I went to bed last night, and now it's within spitting distance of 1185K, which is pretty good considering that overnight/early-morning tends to be the slowest time for donations.

Another thought for Undertale representation could be the main player character kid. His various attacks could involve his monster friends appearing to assist him. That way you could incorporate a wider variety of characters from the source material and avoid the "well why not X" argument.

IIRC canon name is Fritz.

People always underestimate the final push in the last day. Give it time.....man the skull girls one was insane. Good times.

I mean, back when the goal was to get 900k for the extension, the game got over 90k in one day, and there was still several more days to go. A couple days like that would mostly get this campaign to its goal.

I won't pretend I'm not nervous though. This game pushes almost all of my, "want!" buttons. Compelling art style, fun fast paced battle system, colorful distinct characters, a fun blend of metroidvania and rpg action. Heck just the idea of a good JRPG made outside of Japan tends to get me excited, anything that might inspire developers to shake things up in that genre is A-OK by me.

So, yeah I've myself looking forward to this title more than any other big name RPG I can think of currently in development. So the fact that it isn't fully funded yet does make me uneasy.

Still, there's a good chance that the final push will do the trick. Hopefully the game will get some good media coverage in those final days to boot.

It'd be nice to see the game at 1.2 million before we enter the last five days proper. Otherwise though, should be interesting to see how things play out. Final pushes are of course a major factor for a lot of crowdfunding, but we had some of that partly play out in the days prior to the extension, and these things don't always scale in proportion to begin with.

Probably gonna bump up my pledge though.

~Kampan~

A cheeky thief with a flare for theatrics, Kampan is a burglar like no other. Her agility and bravado, along with the sheer destructive force of her arm, have earned her the nickname "Iron Mouse" among Tai-Krung City authorities.

Originally a pickpocket trying to support her starving family, Kampan was arrested and pressed into service as a laborer at an Iron Kingdom ore processing facility. As an expendable prisoner, she was chosen to participate in a demonstration of the prototype new mining equipment under development there. However, the disastrous outcome of several test runs brought an abrupt end to the project, and the "unstable" arm was never completed.

Upon liberating herself - and the prototype - from the facility, Kampan took a keen interest in its inner workings. Using bits and pieces scavenged during her larcenous adventures, she's built the once-abandoned arm into a powerful tool and continues to improve upon it.

does anyone know if all these cameos were planned from the start? or are they just being added now as a way to get funded? I feel like that's kind of a lot of extra work they're adding, and if it wasn't in the planned budget.... do you see where I'm going with this?

that being said, better to have any game than it not even getting a shot. I trust the team.

Some variant of this song is now gonna be stuck in my head for a while, thanks to that.

Looks neat though. I must confess this one's a bit harder to pin down in terms of inspiration... I can find Kampan/Kampana to mean bell in a couple of (rather removed, though maybe with the same etymology) languages, or to be the name of a tamil poet.

The crossovers were a reaction to the state of the campaign, and done to engage other gaming communities to try and get us over the goal.

Yes, it's extra work we're pretty much just taking on for free. But as you said, given the choice between having a game and not, we're going with having a game.

I mean, we're pretty excited to make all of them, too. Mike has a lot of ideas for them and we wouldn't be doing them if the team wasn't interested in doing the extra work.

Love that big ol' grin on her face. Have to echo the sentiment that she wouldn't look out of place among the cast of Skullgirls!

I hope that giant fist is hiding a giant pilebunker. :D
