Indivisible: Valkyrie Profile/Metroid, Indiegogo, PC/Mac/Linux/PS4/XB1 -- funded!

~Kampan~

A cheeky thief with a flare for theatrics, Kampan is a burglar like no other. Her agility and bravado, along with the sheer destructive force of her arm, have earned her the nickname "Iron Mouse" among Tai-Krung City authorities.

Originally a pickpocket trying to support her starving family, Kampan was arrested and pressed into service as a laborer at an Iron Kingdom ore processing facility. As an expendable prisoner, she was chosen to participate in a demonstration of the prototype new mining equipment under development there. However, the disastrous outcome of several test runs brought an abrupt end to the project, and the "unstable" arm was never completed.

Upon liberating herself - and the prototype - from the facility, Kampan took a keen interest in its inner workings. Using bits and pieces scavenged during her larcenous adventures, she's built the once-abandoned arm into a powerful tool and continues to improve upon it.

What mythology, folklore or culture is she supposed to represent? She almost looks like an (old-school) Final Fantasy character.

The crossovers were a reaction to the state of the campaign, and done to engage other gaming communities to try and get us over the goal.

Yes, it's extra work we're pretty much just taking on for free. But as you said, given the choice between having a game and not, we're going with having a game.

Makes sense, I think it was a good idea overall, and it's got a lot of us excited. Thanks for the response!

Joe Mad from Battle Chasers initially approached us about one, which sent me looking for the rest.

Very happy with how much support we've gotten from the indie dev community!

Really cool that Brady, the UI guy, designed this character:

Loooook! They let me make up and design an @IndivisibleRPG character! Then @o___8 redrew it and made it way better!

Here are my early drawings of Kampan from @IndivisibleRPG. The arm got waaaay bigger, and @o___8 simplified a lot.

Now this is what i'm talking about.

More like her please.

I'm sure you guys at Lab Zero are just hoping to get this thing funded in the first place, but any chance we'll see some stretch goals pop up soon? I'm sure you have a few nice ideas in mind, but I think now would be the time to generate a little extra excitement in the final week.

Anyway, I'm glad to see the campaign has come this far. I haven't tossed in yet, but I'm planning to contribute before the whole thing has finished. Just a few more days!

Eh, that might do the exact opposite at this point. Besides, we've still got the last guest character and remaining incarnations to look forward to.

Generally speaking, it's thought that stretch goals can often be discouraging, because often times people processing them as moving the goalposts.

So I don't think we're going to reveal any until we hit the goal.

Indiegogo has a thing called InDemand, which basically lets you keep your campaign open for "slacker backers," and hopefully we can fund a stretch goal or two with that.

Don't underestimate the last minute push. It's not solely based off so much a day now when the last day could equal 150k out of the needed 300k.

50k a day.. Iono man, as much as I want this game to make it (which is a LOT), I'm not positive it'll make it.

Is this your first crowdfund?

Most of the money coming in is almost always gathered in the first and last weeks.

This campaign is different due to the push to give it the extension.

I know that, I'm just concerned since I don't know much about how extensions generally impact income. I.E., if the first week it gets 25%, and last week 25%, but then is extended, is that another theoretical 25% on the ACTUAL last week, or less, due to people thinking it's over?

Does that make more sense?

We 1.2 million now! Just 300k over the next week. It'll be down to the wire, but man, I am feeling it.

Calling it now:

Final Guest fighter is Toriel or Asgore.

Or possibly Papyrus. :)
Toriel makes as much sense as Undyne. Asgore doesn't, because he's a huge spoiler. Papyrus is, eh, maybe? His attacks wouldn't really be that exciting divorced from the inherent abstraction of Undertale's battle system.

Why must there be shipping on the 60 dollar tier? :(
The 75 dollar tier costs the same to me, so I don't know what to choose.

Yeah, Undyne would be great for this game.

Joke prediction: The last guest character is Saitama, who has accidentally lost his groceries and you gotta find them all to recruit him, but the last item is literally right behind the bonus boss, so he's basically entirely for bragging rights, especially since he punches out everything in one hit.

But seriously, I'm hoping for Toriel or Undyne. Or Sans. Either of those would make me very happy.

Well, I downloaded the demo/prototype. I really hope this makes it now. Nice platformer mechanics, looks lovely, great music and sound effects, and a decent learning curve to know how the battles work.

I'm in for a physical copy for the PC.
