The rumor about Black Panther was that
he has a bone to pick with Winter Soldier
which is why his interests align with Stark. At least at the beginning.

Scarlet Witch isn't a wildcard at all. We already know how she feels about Tony.

Based in the phrasing at the start, it seems clear that Bucky was framed for something. My thought:
Somebody, probably Crossbones, killed T'Chaka. Everyone thinks it was the Winter Soldier so Black Panther goes after him.

I'm sure I'm not the first to suggest this.

Yep, I'm sure since the fall of SHIELD and reveal of HYDRA that a lot of information got released about past exploits of the Winter Soldier. He's likely been secretly assassinating world leaders and dignitaries for decades, and maybe that includes Stark's and Tchalla's parents.

Hmmm I don't really consider the first two wild cards because I think both their team reasons make sense . I think BP is more of a wild card.

I think he will. Especially when there was many reports saying
QS wouldn't die
but he ended up anyway.

Olsen already confirmed that Scarlet Witch is a wild card though.

Black Panther isn't a wild card. He's on no teams and is just interested in his own business. He'll probably only join Stark and his mates in a bid to capture Bucky.

And in regards to Black Widow,
there's already reports that she will defect to the other team.

Scarlet Witch confirmed herself for this

I hope this is how it plays out. Would be so awesome.

Anything else makes little sense. I cant see how after all of her 4 movies she is suddenly so far away from
Steve

I agree with this as well. She probably just want inside intel from Tony's team, as Cap's team is already severely underpowered. Scarlet Which might even become too unstable to be considered part of Cap's team, who knows.

I really want her to havr a relationship with The Vision. To bad that they had no movie to establish something like this, would have been great to have two lovers on different sides.

I hope they have some kind of relationship. Maybe they'll have in Civil War but then it'll surely be underdeveloped. Hopefully it happens somewhere along Phase 3 at least.

The Empire magazine breakdown had this:

http://www.empireonline.com/movies/features/captain-america-civil-war-trailer-breakdown/

The Winter Soldier cemented the relationship between Steve and Natasha – two people who recognised that they were kindred spirits, co-opted by the government and turned into living weapons. Natasha, though, sees the world in shades of grey, and will find the events of Civil War pit her against Cap.

“We thought it would be interesting to take that relationship that was so strong in Winter Soldier, and test it,” says Joe Russo. “She sees that they have made mistakes, very public mistakes and she’s trying to convince Steve that it might not be as black and white as he sees it and maybe they have some culpability, and maybe they have to accept that culpability, and then find a way to work within the system so that the Avengers aren’t disbanded.”

At the airport, Natasha surveys the mayhem. Is she undecided about choosing a side? “It’s a great position to put Natasha in in this movie,” says Anthony Russo. “In a way, her head is with Tony’s side of things, but her heart is with Cap in a lot of ways. It’s a really awesome spot for her as a character in the film.”

It makes sense when considering her personal arc. Where, by the end of TWS, Natasha is the one who decides to de-mystify and release SHIELDs secrets to the world, knowing they will have to answer for at least some of them. So, in that respect, it makes sense that she would side with accountability and oversight.

In that Kimmel interview RDJ said that Stark Industries have something to do with the superhero costumes. How convenient that he would hook up Spider-Man with a proper suit.

They'll begin a Captain America film with Captain America. Most likely the Stamford-esque incident that gives Ross ammo.

Trailer seems to imply Sakovia was the MCU's Stamford.

Ross already has all the ammo he needs and then some.

I don't think Spidey will show up for more than 10 minutes max, so it'd be great if they subvert expectations and show him from the start and get people really hyped.

Interesting about SW. I can't even see how she would be a
wild card since I don't see any chance of her switching to Tony's team.
BW I also don't see switching and It just sounds like she's taking Tony's side even though she feels conflicted due to her friendship with Steve.

Either way I guess we'll see with the movie who is playing who.

I keep thinking these scenarios are gonna play out.

Tony
is really Zemo
Wanda
is only in it because something happens with Vision
Vision
will only join Tony because what happened in Ultron
Widow
is a spy getting ready to backstab Tony
Spidey
will only be in it for 10 minutes.
T'challa
will own Bucky

The only way I can see Scarlet Witch as a wildcard is if Vision sweet talks her or she goes nuts.

All the footage so far, public and exclusive, has shown her straight up on Cap's side.

Also what does everyone think about the scene in the trailer with Bucky getting ready to rip out Tony's reactor? I know some people think he's reacting to possibly
Steve dying
but we still have no idea if that will actually even happen so I'm wondering what would set him off unless he's just going cray in the fight.

Seems like the best way to shut Iron Man down without killing him.

I thought Evans was signed on for another movie or two. Is this incorrect?

If you look closely you can see him saying
steve's dead.

(i don't actually think he's saying that, but he looks pissed.)
You can see earlier where Rhodey is down that his reactor has been blown out/ripped out, so he's possibly trying to do that to Stark.

Who should take over, Falcon or Bucky?

Bucky. I think for the non-comic fans he'd probably be easier to accept, or perhaps just a better fit. Is movie Falcon actually that popular?

I also think it might fit the story better. Falcon would just be the next Captain America while it'd serve a purpose in Bucky's overarching story.

I'm gonna be the unique snowflake and say that I'd like to see Falcon become the new Cap.

Bucky has his roots in WWII and his story is more inextricably tied to Steve; I feel that he'd have trouble getting out of Steve's shadow and that it would feel maybe too familiar to have him inherit the shield. Falcon is based in the modern day. He could bring a truly fresh take on the character and make it his own.

Bucky's arc as Cap was far more interesting to me as Sam's so far. Everything about Bucky struggling with who he thought he is, versus the image that Steve had of him, is something I'd like to see play out on screen. I like the Captain America who feels like he isn't worthy if the mantle, but tries his absolute hardest to be.

With SW
I'd say at least she has a chance of just ditching the conflict altogether

Anecdotal but from what i've heard Falcon is pretty popular with kids and such, the cool wings and laid back character I figure.

I don't think Sakovia is the incident, the trailer shows Crossbones fucking shit up so I figure that's at the very beginning of the film and thats the catalyst. Like Sakovia got it on peoples minds but the Crossbones attack seals it.

Falcon as new Cap is more exciting to me, but I think Marvel see Bucky as the person to take over the reigns. Falcon flying around with the shield, bouncing it off everyone and shouting "cut the check".

But I think Falcon is seen more as in a team with Cap, as opposed to Bucky being Cap's sidekick.

plus shooting people in the knees

Oh, I guess he changed his mind.

Oh well, it was a long time ago he said that though.

He were misunderstood from the first day. He never meant, that he would want to see an end to his Captain America days.

I would also like to see more of Falcon. He's super cool. Got a cool costume, awesome wings, some kickass combos in the trailer at least but imagine the potential and Red Wing.

Falcon can't be Cap, he doesn't have the super soldier serum, but Bucky does, hence the next Cap (if / when there is one) would have to be Bucky. Besides, Falcon is too cool and popular as he is already with the wings and shit, he doesn't need to be Cap.
