Is this dual language by chance?
nope the game is to big to have both languages on disk

The NA version still has French/Spanish/Portuguese text at least though, right? Most Nintendo games do.
Don't be silly now.
Why? That's to be expected from the dev and publisher. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Given the current state of gaming and it's ridiculous patches. "Hey 8 gig day one patch!" This game should be given at least a one point bonus on all review impressions.
Monolith Soft did more and better with their first open world game than any Western dev has done in their third or fourth iteration.
Think about that.
Let's not forget also the free DLC that we will have while Japan had to pay it.

Okay, so i updated the OP.
Any Reviews i forgot or any other issues? Please tell me, so i can correct it![]()
Isn't that true of every WiiU game? I thought it was a requirement for being on the system.
How do you access the DLC characters though? Do they show up as a quest in a certain chapter or what?

Was thinking of picking up this hard drive and a y cable.

Would this one work for Wii U? Figured I'd ask before I bought it.
Thanks for keeping the OP updated ^_^
I formatted all of OpenCritic's reviews for neogaf's forum tags here: http://pastebin.com/mFGckFMY - feel free to grab any.
Haven't read all the reviews, but:
* Did any of the reviewers play through the full game? If so, what's the total playing time?
* Which of the reviews mentioned the play time (GameXplain mentioned 85+ hours) which the review is based on?
Quests it seems, nothing else was said.

I guess they will be probably available from the start since you meet them in the city (I think?)

They're on the disc. Are these included with the launch game or are they post launch?
Some of the negative reviews, like the ones below 80s, often mention repetition, grinding, too much exploration. I'm starting to wonder if this is more of a niche jrpg game? This doesn't sound much like the chrono trigger, Final Fantasy 10, persona 4 golden, type of game. Which is not a bad thing, but I am keeping my expectations low, especially given that I know a few people did not enjoy the witcher.

Disappointing that there's no JP voice but totally understandable.
Only a few more days until I can inject this into my bloodstream.
GameSpot mentioned 60. I'm not sure if anyone else did.
Huge props to those who did mention their playtime tho
So Wii U owners will have at least one big open-world game to soothe their aching hearts when Nintendo finally cancels the Wii U version of The Legend of Zelda NX!
I don't actually believe this, just sharpening my trollin
Wow will I really have to buy this game too?

It's gonna be super low then so they can get lots of hits.Jose Otero answered me in twitter that the IGN review going to be published this week.... Yes this WEEK.. Lol

It's actually behind the truck. He still hasn't found a Skell, he thinks it's up Death Mountain.
What's all this?!
I expected 11/10s for the game, but after looking at both Game Informer and Polygon scores (SEVENS!), I feel like my whole life has been a lie.
As I write this I'm - with so much sadness - cancelling my Xenoblade Chronicles X Limited Edition preorder. I cannot just go and play this game, like if this was The Witchers or Fall Out, this was supposed to be my GOTY, goddammit.. It was going to be my GOTY.
If I enjoyed this game, enjoyed the skels, the vistas, the scope, and took as my GOTY, with these scores, I'd just be big fat hypocrites. I'm not that kind of person, I don't wanna be.
I have to admit I fell to the GAF hype, but that's my fault, as I knew that I shouldn't have trusted Monolith after being bit by The Matrix Online, back in the day.
I need to stop being this naive. Ow, Xenoblade why.
Any impressions of the "multiplayer" features?
The thin story and crappy music is very disappointing. I'm less inclined to purchase a Wii U for this game now.
If you watch the Survival Guides on Nintendo's YouTube, you'll be pretty set.The reviews make me worry about how much there is to take in and learn, especially if the game doesn't explain a lot of it to the player. Other than that I'm still excited.

You seem to have an agenda, or at least some sort of bias. It's gonna be super low then so they can get lots of hits.
You will see a little icon on the map like a black and red circle or fist can't remember. Them you accept it like a regular quest except you can only have two party members when you accept it as those people become your third party member.
Quests it seems, nothing else was said.

You don't lose XP, items or money."No punishment for death" ?
What does this mean exactly?

You would still need to retry a battle, right?

Although as mentioned, this isn't entirely applicable to Skellsrespawn at nearest checkpoint immediately after wipe
no penalty or losing anything
Neo what is a TE2????Welp, I know what I'm asking for this Christmas (this & Super Mario Maker). I'd buy it myself, but I spent my cash on a TE2 & my SFV pre-order.

I believe the icon for the dlc characters quests in particular start at the entrance of the city, on the left side when walking in. Normally quests can be found all over the town but since these were originally dlc they can be found at that same spot. I believe I heard these quests have a recommended level so they might not appear right away, but I can't confirm that.
