There needs to be the scene where Thanos shows exactly how powerful he is and almost kills every Avenger without trying.
Just effortless party wipe.
Gamora and Drax got nerfed. Thanos probably will too.

Yeah as someone brought up, with the Russos talking about how meaningful it was for them to tie back in the Incredible Hulk into the MCU, I can see the big end surprise being Abomination showing up rather than Red Hulk
Would be a nice callback to when Tony wouldn't let him have Blomsky in the Avengers too.
Actualy, it's the other way around. In the consultant one shot, Coulson and Sitwell are tasked by the world security council to recruit abomination from Ross. They rightfully think that's a terrible idea so they send Tony who they know will get under Ross' skin to sabotage the recruitment.Would be a nice callback to when Tony wouldn't let him have Blomsky in the Avengers too.

Is MCU Cap this ballsy?I don't know man if I see Cap land an effective hit on Thanos like he did with Ultron I'll be annoyed.
Nice trailer.
Prefer the second poster

Bye Bye Star Wars
Probably deserves its own thread. I'm still under the belief that BvS will gross more due to Batman but this makes me wonder how set in stone that really is.
Anecdotal, I know, but I've seen far more hype for any Marvel movies than Batman V Superman. I saw a lot of hype for Suicide Squad but people seem to be sleeping on BVS. I reckon it could do a billion but the poor taste of Man of Steel is still in people's mouths and I think audiences are still jaded to 'it's not The Dark Knight'.Probably deserves its own thread. All my "bro" friends are into both but much more hyped for BvS because they love Batman so much. Conversely, Civil War seems to have more traction with a broader audience including some female friends who aren't interested in BvS at all.Anecdotal, I know, but I've seen far more hype for any Marvel movies than Batman V Superman. They'll probably do about the same, I'd think.
The shaky cam and quick cuts added to the fights imo. It's not like Quantum of Solace where you can't see half of it.

May 2016 will be the most horrible time to love superhero movies on NeoGAF.
It will be like a war and sides will be choosen and... Eh.
(Has someone a civi war meme for this?)
I don't care who out grosses who, I just want the Batman vs Black Panther threads.
I'd be more willing to accept this idea if they didn't do a cut for just about every fight ever. I literally cannot remember a specific move in any of the fights at all, meanwhile I can remember almost the entire fight between Neo and Smith for a reason.
None of that includes the two awesome running scenes on the ship and after Fury is shot that don't involve quick cuts or shaky cam.
I'm assuming you're taking about Winter Soldier here. Most people remember the killer knee to the chest, the goddamn suplex, and the knife struggle. Less memorable but still cool scenes include Bucky taking the shield and Cap manhandling Bucky into a RNC. You forgot the best part:

Different strokes and all that. I can sympathize with having action scenes ruined with distracting cuts and shaky cam but I personally didn't find it to be so in WS.Unfortunately I can't remember these shots at all, but I'll take your word for it.
However I don't think that diminishes the effect all the times the quick cuts/shaky cam were used had on my experience seeing how it's the main take away I had from it in terms of criticism.

May I ask what country you're in? I wonder if Batman and Superman are more beloved in America than Europe because I don't really know anyone who is a fan of the characters other than liking The Joker. Like you said though, it's all anecdotal.
America. People love the hell out of Batman hereMay I ask what country you're in? I wonder if Batman and Superman are more beloved in America than Europe because I don't really know anyone who is a fan of the characters other than liking The Joker. (UK)

Nah, the movie can't be blamed for your poor memory.Unfortunately I can't remember these shots at all, but I'll take your word for it.

I could see Chris Evans doing that. You forgot the best part:

Guaranteed it is because of it being a massive versus story. Not that a 3rd cap film wouldn't be hugely successful on its own, but Disney themselves are banking on rdj' involvement in the film to boost its popularity as a solo cap film and followup to cap2.Bye Bye Star Wars

Well I'm going through the major action scenes right now and between this and the GSP fight there are almost zero shots that give you more than 5 seconds before cutting to a different angle while shaking: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_WnCLJJ-Mg
They'll probably give this moment to Tony because he needs things to do. Along with the shield shatter, wielding Thor's hammer and shouting "NO" in Thanos face.

NOOOOOOOOOOO STOOOOOOOOOOPThey'll probably give this moment to Tony because he needs things to do. Along with the shield shatter, wielding Thor's hammer and shouting "NO" in Thanos face.
Please....stop...no more...Tony'll make a suit out of the material from Thor's hammer and make 'I'm worthy' jokes.
Its bullshit, Evans said this for way longer.

I can't believe I just read this statement on GAFThe last solo Iron-Man movie bitchslapped nolan's batman best. And Cap is more popular than ever was before.
Vision will bite the dust in Infinity Wars. I fucking guarantee it.

I can't believe I just read this statement on GAF. Now I remember why I try to stay out of comic movie threads until I've seen the movie and want to discuss what I saw. Too much fanboy stuff otherwise. Not sure what made me jump in to this thread other than liking what I saw in the trailer.(actually I can but I wish I hadn't)
