That trailer deflated the hype gained from the previous trailer. They really shouldn't have veered away from the whole ... you know, Batman vs Superman thing, the thing people want to see and is the title of the fricken movie.

I knew that at some point they were going to join forces, but why show it in the trailers?

I agree. The trailer should have ended with Lex saying Son of Krypton vs the Bat of Gotham. Why give away third act stuff?

When I saw the last trailer, I knew Jesse Eisenberg's Lex felt awkward.

Now I'm certain he was the wrong pick. It's like nails on a chalkboard everytime he popped up in this trailer. Ugh.

That was simultaneously great and so weird. The beginning was so serious and dark, loved it.

And then the end got borderline cartoonish.

"Maybe Gotham City and me have a bad history with.. freakes dressed like clowns" *dehumanizing glare*.

That part was amazing.

That was amazing.

does it matter they gave away the movie, its a comic book movie we know how they end 99% of the time.

The Dark Knight was the only one that ended unexpectedly, you know everybody lost in the end.

Wow I loved it, some really great moments there but tbh im not too thrilled about Batmans voice being modulated even in his regular suit and Lex acting like a clown.

Also surprised at how much it showed.

Kinda disappointed with this trailer. Way too many attempts at comic relief, which ruined the serious tone I loved so much in the last trailer. Snyder's trailers are typically on point, what the hell happened here?

Jessie's Lex seems Kat Dennings-tier of awful.

I like the trailer, but understand the mixed reactions.

This almost feels like a trailer in response to some of the negativity surrounding the film

Lack of humor
How can Batman and Superman fight
Why aren't they friends, etc

But it give away too much in order to alleviate those fears, but gawd damn that ending.

I can't *believe* these lazy developers keep making file sizes so damn large. Btw, how does technology work?
That was not what I expected... at all.

That was legitimately awful. The lines are so corny but instead of playing off it, everything has this weird dark tone.

Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that
Wow...first trailer a few months back was decent, this looked like an absolute mess.

it looks like a freaking marvel movie man :(

i'm happy that the batvoice is good though, he toned down the constipation from bale.

Are people surprised by fucking Doomsday ? I mean come on. Haven't you seen the last trailer with Zod's body in it ?

I'm more surprised by how terrible he looks than the fact that he's in the movie. A lot of the CG looked off in the trailer, but Doomsday looked like a Hobbit goblin.

Loved the trailer and this is the money shot. Perhaps a bit spoilerer but there is no way we weren't going to see the villain before the film came out. It's clear as day that Lex is putting on an act here, especially when he approaches Bruce and Clark.

That was odd trailer. I guess the Batman v Superman stuff stop pretty early on if they revealing who is the real threat in a trailer.

Movie's like 2 1/2 hours long. We have all of 4 minutes of footage.

We know Doomsday is engineered by Luthor
We know Luthor is trying to pit Clark and Bruce against each other
We know Wonder Woman shows up.

...that's about it. Really. None of those plot points are particularly big in and of themselves.

And the film is called Batman Vs. Superman....So based off of what you've listed, the entire tension of the film is essentially deflated.

Look, I'm not one to write films off based on trailers due to the exact reasons you listed. But this is clearly a bad trailer in how much it just gives away of the story. Compare the Star Wars trailers for example, we have NO idea what is going on in those essentially.

Even though as comic book fans we knew Supes and Bats would settle their shit, this trailer literally shows them teaming up and deflating the entire angle they've been pushing this whole time.

And I used to say I'd LOVE to see a Death of Superman film made...just not when combined with The Dark Knight Returns...like what the fuck. Two totally different tones. Ugh

What?

Why fucking shouldn't it?

"Grimdark" isn't really a word, either. It's a catchphrase.

Go read the two most apparent works that this film is based off of, Death of Superman and Dark Knight Returns. Those should be obvious enough as to why this should absolutely not be silly.

People that have never seen a goddamn DC animated film just won't be able to help themself and trot out their tired one liners.

wow I was so hyped for the movie but after this trailer I'm not sure any more.
The trailer showed way too much and yikes it doesnt look so good.

Nothing about this worked. The haphazard editing rhythms. The thunderously generic music choice and its random coming in and out. The attempts at humor. Setting up a compelling conflict. Everything that comes out...pretty much everyone's mouth, but special mention must go to finding a Batvoice even goofier than Bale and Jessie Eisenberg straight not giving a fuck about this movie. The goofy lookin' CG. Doomsday lookin' straight up like Abomination from that awful Incredible Hulk movie.

This was bad. This was really bad.

You know, I'm not ecstatic by the doomsday thing, but at the very least I'm glad it's just one big bad and not like a legion of mini-bads.

I like Affleck and Eisenberg in this, they have presence...everything else is kind of uninteresting though. I just don't care. Wonder Woman looks good, but there was absolutely nothing that tells you about her personality in that trailer. She doesn't even do anything cool. She could have jumped in and done some crazy cgi shit and stolen the trailer or something. Make her stand out besides just being Wonder Woman.
The trailer just didn't seem "big". I'd like to think that having these 3 heroes together on film is a big fucking deal, but you wouldn't know it by watching this trailer.

I was more excited by seeing Black Panther and I don't even know anything about the character.
