Dark Cloud — $14.99
Grand Theft Auto III — $14.99
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City — $14.99
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas — $14.99
Rogue Galaxy — $14.99

Done and done. Between these, Life is Strange, Xenoblade, Witcher 3 and Tales from Borderlands i am set till Uncharted comes out. $15 price tag doesn't bother me since there are games with 90% less content going for $20+ i don't care if they are old or not it's worth it to me and people who wanted disc BC were living in a fantasy world. These were never going to be $5-10.

Disc BC was never going to happen.

You can a real ps2 slim with those games for 15 dollars maybe.

$15? Really? For PS2? Pfft..Should have done disc BC. MS outdoing Sony on this one for sure. Gonna play with the PS2 emulator tonight instead.

Very unfortunate about the higher price tag, especially with no upgrade path. I'd be willing to pay $5 to get my digital copy of Twisted Metal: Black upgraded, but I don't feel so comfortable paying $15 for a game I already previously paid $10 for. :\

Because I don't want to do all of that shit, and $15 is not a lot of money to spend on a classic game I know i will enjoy and play and worth the convenience of not having to dig out or buy an old console, or, again, do all of that shit you mention.

I can see some people being upset about the price. It's not an issue for me considering I've paid well more than that for remasters. I do think it's a shame there isn't some sort of upgrade program though.

Other than that Some act like Sony is forcing them to buy these games. Just ignore it. I'm positive you'll see these games in a sale in the future. Hell depending on how fast they release these games. You might see them on PS+

Pretty disappointing prices and not a big selection to start with. Sony's had two years to come up with something better for consumers than this. Meh.

Decent price and great that they're launching tomorrow! :D Too bad they didn't launch with Dark Cloud 2 though. Hopefully within a month or two. :(

I love your avatar.

Off-topic but there's also one with Mika/Nadeshiko and one with Karin: http://imgur.com/a/6J94F . Probably more out there.

Basically just trophies? Are you forgetting the pretty huge graphical improvement? To me that's by far the best feature.

Other BC is just basically the same game you can play on the old console looking just like it did before, what we're getting is better than that. People using the awesomeness of PCSX2 and Dolphin to revisit great old games know this.

It'd ofcourse be cool if there were some kind of upgrade program atleast. Though a number of these games never made it on in the first place.

1080p is pretty nice for sure, but it's not "huge" when PS2 emulation on PC basically does the same with a lot more features (graphical or not). Could have easily gone further for this price.
I honestly wouldn't have minded regular emulation like on PS3 if it meant the same prices and not having to pay again for different platforms.

all good things
Shitty price and for people who already own them but Nintendo charges $20 for Wii games on Wii U so I guess it's better than that.

I'll wait for a sale.

Definitely buying like every RPG that Sony spits out under this.

What's the world with PS1 games though? Gonna do the same thing with a bit lower prices or just gonna enable b/c like PS3/Vita? Can't wait till tomorrow.

But the question is why is it never going to happen? MS has proven, even with simple last-gen stuff, (and I'm not saying somehow a generation previous is easier) that it can be done, and they're doing it. I can only infer that Sony simply doesn't want to do it like that, and that's just how it's gonna be. It's fine if the price point is worth it for you, but those games really aren't it - for me.

I'd be in the dick
Prices seem OK to me. Hopefully once they start releasing games that were Classics those owners get a decent discount at least.

Mark of Kri and War of the Monsters are ones I've wanted to play for a long time but never got the chance to.

I wonder if people who paid for these PS2 classics already on PS3 have to pay again, but who am I kidding, they will.

But I missed War of the Monsters when it was on PS3. Sounds like a good excuse.

War of the Monsters is awesome, but not $9.99 awesome. I understand why Sony is making us pay for these as they've put work into them, but I'd prefer some more reasonable prices. Honestly I'd prefer straight emulation to uprezzing if it meant I could just stick my Silent Hill 2 disc in.

I disagree...I don't want to pirate things, and I don't want to play my old games with crappy quality. And even the highest $15 is what it costs a number meal at a fast food chain for 2 lol. Not that serious unless, well, I guess you're trying to rebuild your whole PS2 collection or something.

Yea I'm definitely hoping they put out all those RPG's. And PS1 definitely needs to come over. Not even in this new program but just bring PS1 classics over.

The real question is Vice City or San Andreas?

I like SA way more but it's been so much longer since I played VC and I like the protagonist better in VC.

Huge was probably an exaggeration but it's pretty big, those games don't always look too hot at 480i/p on an HD/4KTV.

Well yeah, PC's also have much better CPUs which you need to run PCSX2 and Dolphin at their best.

Yeah though the Wii U can read wii discs.

This is wallet gougint at it's finest. I'm slightly surprised they wouldn't ask for like a ps+ subscription to run them just for that little extra dosh. I understand the added trophy support and upscale is a bit of work but 15 dollars ? I can go out and buy the disc for half that price right now, what the hell
