My final predictions:

  • Sony talking about Destiny, Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Star Wars: Battlefront, and how all of them have been a success on the PlayStation 4 platform.
  • We're getting updates on Final Fantasy VII (PC port) and Fat Princess Adventures, both get release dates but are not released today.
  • Sony mentions the PS2 classics coming to PS4 as announced the other day, showing more of the upcoming games on a image full of logos.
  • Yakuza 5 goes up on PSN before the end of the month. Yakuza 1+2 coming to PS4 as PS2 classics.
  • Extended Uncharted 4 cut of the trailer shown during The Game Awards, which also leads to an in-game demonstration of a city-based level.
  • Sony Bend will show off their project
  • Sony Santa Monica will show a teaser of Kratos and a God of War IV logo.

Everything that won't be there:

  • Final Fantasy XII: HD Remaster, Level-5 RPG, Ace Combat 7, Onimusha, Crash Bandicoot, Final Fantasy VII: Remake, Gran Turismo Sport, Wild, The Tomorrow Children, Rime, Detroit.
  • No firmware talk.
  • No PSN name change feature discussed.

Very realistic set of expectations. I believe firmware talk is likely though, version 4.0, to be released mid way through 2016 or similar.

I would love a FF12 HD announcement, but there's already a lot of FF projects in the pipeline.

OMG. Can you imagine a setpiece in the Golden Gate Bridge? Everything coming down, particles everywhere... JEBUS.

Doubt it, but I hope people that own a PS2 disc can get the digital one for free or at least a discount. I already own Rogue Galaxy for example.

The funny thing is that it would be the last conference that should be a let down, Sony have literally thousands of PS fans in front of them, they better not disappoint.

should be but their e3 was decent their paris games was meh, sony needs to be more aggressive with announcements I feel

Ugh, this is so believable that it just makes me want to skip the conference.

Realistic, but damn that sounds boring.

For people that watched this last year on their PS4 is it a reliable stream? Or should i just watch it on youtube?

Just realized I dropped the junior tag! took a few years but i did it! lol

we have no official releases on those title but one i think dont we, because a "2016 release date" can easily be moved back and speculated.

If it's a 2016 release, then it's a 2016 release. Everything can be pushed back and delayed but officially, The Last Guardian is a 2016 release and Uncharted 4 comes out March 18 2016.

Gran Turismo Sport should release next year, seeing Yamauchi's comment about fans not being patient for 2017 but I don't think it has a release period.

My wishlist:

FFXII Remaster
Sale during the keynote on Uncharted Collection so I can play the beta

That's it.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is already on sale for £25 I believe, at least in Europe.

i have a terrible feeling this conference may be a let down
If you go in expecting a bunch of new triple A game announces and stuff you will be disappointed.

People have way too high expectations for any type of conference this happens at every E3, Nintendo direct etc. People hype themselves up, we get pages and pages of "OMG" "HOLY SHIT" spam then once it's over everyone is like "it was alright" "it sucked"

Go in with reasonable expectations and it will be fine.

Quick thought, but weren't Shenmue one and 2 released by segA on ps2 in Japan? So wouldn't a ps2 classic release be easy for Shenmue 1 and 2 to release as the game already had western translations and dubs?

The Shenmue games have never appeared on Sony platforms. Shenmue 2 got an Xbox port, but that was it.

No, there's never been a Shenmue game released on a PS console. The games were only released on the Dreamcast and original Xbox.

No there was never a ps2 release.

I guess I'll stay up and watch this. Really only expecting more info/deets on the known knowns, which is fine by me as Sony have a few things I'd like to see more of. Definitely would love to see some new footage of Horizon in a totally new location and new sequence of gameplay (no more dinosaur fight, please).

That sucks I always thought there were some sega releases on ps2 like Shenmue but only in Japan, maybe I'm thinking of something else.

Edit: it was Sega Saturn games released in Japan on ps2 as Sega ages games. Well guess back to hoping we get something like that before 3 comes out.

What if that is all the game is, fighting robot dinosaurs

Most are expecting a standard remaster treatment if Shenmue and Shenmue 2 are ever brought to the PS4. A few years ago there was a report that Skies and Shenmue were on the table for remasters. This was around the time that Jet Set Radio's remaster was released. But they've vanished since then.
