I'm glad to hear that! I just hope your other party members contribute during battle and it's not like Y's where you fight with one character at a time. It defeats the purpose of having a party.

Yeah they show Barrett getting down from his perspective so if it was action based, wouldn't that take control away from Cloud?

My guess is that this is the hybrid action turn based similar to XIII. It's a good middle ground between turn based and all out action.
