Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Chunk 1 (CyberConnect2, UE4) Trailer, "PS4 Console Debut"

Sure Fox engine is goddamn great but you guys shouldn't forget it costed Konami 80m and 5 years for MGSV. And I believe the whole Kojima vs Konami came from that mess. Capcom gonna be next victim with their Luminious brother, Panta Rei. They got luck with MT Framework last gen unlike SE (joke on you SE, you not only fuck up once but TWICE)

^ IIRC, Jet voiced Barret in the rest of the compilation too

That's what i said.

Why would a remake on this level not get a retail release!?

Lol wut? Is there any doubt it will be retail?

Well Materia is central to the whole story line, don't see why they'd drop it.

I dunno, was just a thought based on the RE version not getting a retail release here, who knows with these pubs these days.

Let's be honest here, the FFXV hype has die down a bit now,I'm no longer looking forward to it as much for some odd reason.
Why? These are two separate entities. One has nothing to do with the other.

I'm still definitely anticipating 15 buy this is something if a dream project for a lot of us. Nothing wrong with this being a bigger bullseye.

Did this suck all the air out of the room for you? :P
I mean, personally I wanted Nomura's XV. A lot of what he wanted was stripped from the game and this deeply depresses me so now I feel indifferent until they decide to show something to get people truly excited again.

It could be that FF7 remake gives me FF13 versus vibe that I kinda longing for.I Don't know man, issues of the heart.

I agree. Nomura's vision was to me, like a big fantasy mafia Romeo+Juliet story with dragons.

If he comes out saying that Baz Luhrmann's films are an inspiration to his vision I'll scream.

I remember reading someone complaining about Cloud's skinny arms.

Well I say, how would he be able to cross dress convincingly otherwise!?

Same. I'm sorry, i know there will be naysayers who complain that i'm pining over a concept that never got to exist. But even the concept appealed to me more than what FF15 has become, no offense Tabata, i'm sure your working hard making the game.

So to know that a majority of the main heads working on Versus have moved over to this project, and seeing all these allusions and similarities is somewhat of a salvation of what i have been waiting a long time to see realized.

Its even more poignant because its realized in FF7.

Er...Resident Evil remaster is a little different than an actual remake.

Although even then, Resident Evil 0 and REmake are getting a retail release next year in the origins collection

Man, it wasn't too long time ago we thought FFVIIR would never happen, KH3 was unlikely and FFXV was forever in development hell. And now not only are all three titles in development at the same time but are already at a more or less playable stage.

Crazy how life works sometimes

I wonder though, how they'll handle summons in this game.

Also hoping they tone down the glare on the buster sword while he's running around. It was too distracting.

A lot of people are actually weirdly complaining about that. Have they not seen Cloud's original artwork?

so will stella now be in Final Fantasy 7?

We still won't get Stella. Some things are forever lost!!!!!

Stella will henceforth be represented by Tifa and Aerith.

I always believed in SE.
Man, those were some dark days.

Looking back, everyone needs to give "Imperial Hot" major respect. If Square/Enix didn't go handheld/mobile during their dark times, I doubt they would have had enough revenue to make these dreams come true.

Still can´t believe how good this looks.

It´s simply perfect.

I hope they didn´t get rid of the overworld map.

When do you think will be the next time, that we get some bigger news on this game (appart from small infos via interviews)

Next Year is the Year of Final Fantasy 15 & i don't think SE would want any distraction for that title.

So probably after Final Fantasy 15 is out.....or even later, after all DLC's are out

It was too ambitious and it was obviously mired in production hell. I'm sad for what was lost, but let's face it, Tabata basically saved it.

Maybe TGS 2016 or PSX 2016?
I don't think we'll get to the worst of Versus XIII. Appearing at shows can be a pain but yeah, most of next year is XV.
