I enjoyed this one. The parallels drawn between the Saiyan Saga and this episode really drove home a theme that seems to be through this Arc.
We've got Krillen freaking over Frieza's goons until Roshi reminded him that he's still rediculously powerful in scale to the Universe.
There is all these reminders of how people have changed since the old days. It gives me hope that Gohan will step back up to train and be the best he needs to be. Krillen did it, Frieza immediately did it as soon as he was revived. Hell, even Ginyu stepped up to the plate when given the chance. All I'm saying is that there's hope and with Toriyama not directly writing these; we'll have hope after the movie sagas get out of the way.
Assuming I'm not just getting my hopes up since I don't read the manga...

We've got Freiza recollecting his embaressment over his two defeats (via Gohan, Goten and Trunks) and going tyrant over it. We have a return to the hyper bollocks time chamber in the form of whatever puesdo-plane that Goku and Vegeta got sent to; presumably to exit later in some form of rebirth. Now we have an echo of the Saiyan Saga with Piccolo stepping in to save Gohan once again.

FAKE EDIT: My first NeoGaf post and it's a post in a DB topic. Go figure.
