The Season Pass is for those who don't want to grind for said characters. Plus the Season Pass comes with alternate costumes, a PS4 theme, & some PSN avatars.

You can get the characters in two ways: either by grinding for the in-game currency (Fight Money), or just paying it with actual money and forgoing the grinding method. That has never changed.

The season pass is part of the method where you can just pay with actual money.

I'm glad they are throwing in some bonus items for those supporting the game monetarily with an extra purchase. Not that those just earning them for free are not supporting the game as that is a viable option they set up, but they would obviously rather getting the money directly, so an extra bonus for putting up the cash for the whole pack upfront is welcome. I wonder what they mean by premium costumes.
 
If that theme is a dynamic stage theme such as the China downtown street stage that'd look so nice. Don't give us a shitty branded theme Capcom.

It might have been nothing, but I was referring to the one a few pages ago (I believe, as things have been moving fast again) where he tweeted a photo with an Akuma statue holding up a special edition of the game or something. The statue being the possible tease of course.

True, but some believe that the beta code might not have been final and that the datamined stuff from that build is not necessarily all there will be in the final version. Weirder things have happened I guess.

I feel that Necalli would be the boss myself. He has "V" imagery on him with the body paint, his V-Trigger looks like a boss and can work as a second round battle against him and his theme sounds sort of like a boss theme (at least for Beast Necalli. Trigger Necalli could get a unique theme).

Not the best "evidence" but it's something.

I feel the same honestly, but as far as actual evidence goes, signs point to the Psycho-powered Master of disaster once again.

Here's hoping for V-Necalli, though. Permanent V-Trigger can't be for nothing, right?
 
I hope that you get zenny for playing matches. It was already said that you would get it for completing daily challenges, and that is all well and good, but I would like a zenny reward for my online matches as well. Even if they gave you one zenny per win most of us would EASILY build up enough to buy each DLC character when they release.

You only ever get Fight Money from playing the game. If you want Zenny you gotta pony up.
 
So are we expecting any news for Capcom Cup? There's nothing on the schedule and I guess if there's anything, it would be before the finals.

After tonight, when would the next bit of news be released? We actually know very, very little about this game outside of it's gameplay, online features, characters, and the tutorial. Are there any events in January?

I doubt it. You'll probably see Ono in a F.A.N.G costume.


I wonder what F.A.N.G. Stands for.

I do think we'll get something at the end of Capcom Cup (I recall Ono hinting at such on Twitter). How significant the news is remains to be seen.
 
I guess all the leaks and datamining finally got to them... they aren't even trying to tease or create hype anymore.

This was their last big stage event before the game launches to do something hype... and we got a 30 second animation that looks considerably worse than SF4... and bad Charlie cosplay.

They're making live action videos about Nash

It was shown, was thirty seconds long, featured four or five characters, and maaybe hinted at E. Ryu. Necalli is totally the final boss I'd guess.
 
It's almost like they've just come to terms that the next beta phase in 10 days will have everything datamined and make far more headlines as a "scandal" than if they just announced the stuff legit on stage like expected.

You clearly are contradicting yourself, your argument was that it was okay for Gouken because Bison came back. According to you now that's not a justication.

You can say they are both stupid, and honestly you'd be right, but they actually put some effort into Bison's with the prequels and made it into a large part of the lore beforehand rather than just using it as an excuse to retcon a back story character into being playable.

If you think they are both equally stupid, that's fine, but it's not really an apples to apples comparison as one is justified by the way they set up the universe and the other isn't.
