Xenoblade Chronicles X obviously can't match chart position from the middle of the summer dead zone, but:

between 5500 and 6600? UK pls

top 10 no

top 20? maybe, do we have a rough idea of what PS3 Black Ops 3 is at?

WEEK 47

18) [PS3] CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS III
19) [XBO] FORZA MOTORSPORT 6
20) [WIU] MARIO KART 8
21) [PC] STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT = 6,800

Last week’s Black Friday deals helped propel ‘Fifa 16’ (-41%) back to the top, where it remains this week claiming its sixth No1 crown. It leads an unchanged Top 3 for the second week joined by ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops III’ (-32%) at No2 and ‘Star Wars: Battlefront’ (-34%) at No3. Despite the lack of change at the top, two titles do make their debuts in the Top 10 this week. Square Enix’s ‘Just Cause 3’ is the highest new entry coming to PS4 & Xbox One for the first time. It’s a triumphant start with the third iteration scoring a week 1 high for the series with sales up 46% on Just Cause 2. ‘Fallout 4’ (-27%) slips a place down to No5 but is ahead of Ubisoft debutant ‘Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Siege’ which makes its mark at No6. ‘Minecraft: Story Mode’ (+16%) continues to deliver impressive week on week sales figures holding the No7 spot for a second week. ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ (-20%) is down two places to No8 while ‘Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection’ (-36%) slides four places to No9. ‘WWE 2K16’ (+35%) benefits from retailer promotions delivering another increase in sales to propel it up four places to No10. Wii U exclusive ‘Xenoblade Chronicles X’ debuts at No28 with sales up 73% on the launch week of the original Xenoblade Chronicles, which released on the Wii in 2011.

34 for X.

At least it charted I guess.

Surprised DC isn't in the chart. Wasn't there a £195 bundle on Amazon over the weekend? Maybe it was third party? Didn't pay too much attention to the seller on HUKD.

I was just thinking King will along shortly with some positivity.

It's good or charted given the U's current situation in the UK.

Wii U's situation in UK is shit, that we know already since after launch. Xenoblade was quite a poor seller compared to other franchises on Wii, but did ok for the niche it is in. X to be some kind a big seller on Wii U would have been quite a miracle. The fact that Nintendo didn't trust it enough to release it on "Nintendo day" says a lot. So yeah, under the circumstances, selling better than the original is an achievement.

Not a bad performance from Just Cause 3. Christmas sales are a tide that lifts all titles.

Surprisingly XBO version of R6 sold more that PS4 version.

Looks like it was a close split but yeah that's against the trend a bit. Noobie's gonna love that statistic!

Wonder why? Is franchise more know on Xbox, did it appeal but more demographically for some reason? Just an outlier?

JC3 seems to have had a decent start I note. Wonder how it'll do overall WW?

It's still possible that XCX sold better first week than XC and I would've made a bet that it would (even in UK), but that's not a high barrier I guess. I think it'll have a relatively great start in US though.

Edit: I should read everything before I post... So X sold indeed a bit better than Xenoblade. That is something I guess.

really guys, Xenoblade's numbers are further up the page cause I posted them

5500<Xenoblade Chronicles<6600
9515<Xenoblade Chronicles X<11418 (+73%)

whoops, when I asked for top 20 from the previous two weeks I assumed it'd stay constant at least from Black Friday week, that wasn't the case though

Now we know why they called it X.

Franchise is more known on Xbox. Rainbow Six 3 was one of the most popular multiplayer games on the Original Xbox and Rainbow Six Vegas was the big multiplayer game in the early 360 days aside from Gears of War. Sales seem pretty tepid for it anyway though.

Damn Rainbow 6 bombed hard, will have even worse legs than normal since it's MP only too.

No chance it hits 7M lifetime sales lol, will be lucky to even reach 1M

Edit: I also saw AC Syndicate sales. Jesus fuck! It's even more pathetic, only 47,477 ± 5,355?
Good, hopefully the low sales for AC and Halo5 scare publishers into not releasing broken games. It's unfortunate as those games are actually good (or so I've heard about AC), but that's what happens when you release games completely broken a year before.

Splits for Rainbow 6 and Just Cause

53% of all physical copies of Rainbow Six Siege sold in the UK during its launch week were on Xbox One, according to figures revealed by GFK Chart-Track. 47% were sold on PS4, with 0% of physical copies sold on PC.

The figure should be considered a win for Microsoft, which has typically seen multiplatform titles sell more on PS4 at launch. Just Cause 4, for example, saw 57% of its physical copies sold on PS4 last week and 42% on Xbox One. 2% were sold on PC.

Well Rainbow 6 benefitted from the 360 head start last gen and the port to PS3 suffered with the usual problems early in th gen, so that might have been a factor - but I think deep down there are a few more players that are open to multiplayer only games on Xbox traditionally. And as we see there are far more people on both platforms who are sceptical of that type of game.

Nice to see X doing well against it's predecessor. Though it's chart positioning would seemingly tell a different story without numbers.

R6 bombing. No hype around that one and there's already too many shooters out that are far bigger. Should have been released when the schedules were quieter.

JC3 seems to have done well, although not sure that's a good thing if the game was released in the state? it was.

I think people just forget how massive and huge black ops returning to form is, Bo2 was the last good COD in most players minds...and Bo3 has returned and claimed almost every Destiny player I know, in fact everybody on my friends list.

And then there are the coop zombies players and been quite a few years since a good COD zombies - a game that could stand by itself....anybody releasing a shooter with limited modes or content against the Bo3 package at this time must have been nuts. So Obvious.

Seems like it's brand recognition then. Bit like Elder Scrolls Online having better split for Xbox too. Not that sales were terrific but split is probably balance of being more known on Xbox vs bigger PS4 install base balancing out.

MS should really try and help titles like this more. Seems easy to give them a little extra marketing and get better split and sales. But I guess they're more interested in bigger plays.

I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that no one here likes paying £35 for a game that's been out for five years. Hmmm.

I don't get it? The comparisons were from the Wii release of Xenoblade compared to the Xenoblade Chronicles X release. The N3DS version isn't being talked about.

Still, sucks to be those that did.
I only paid £32

Oh I'm not referencing any game in particular, just commenting on the situation in the UK and why Nintendo has lost so much market share in the region. The "5 year" thing was a random number. Sorry, didn't mean to be cryptic.
