Lol. Never count out Gohan's ability to unlock some more latent abilities lol. I doubt the giant power up is something new though. Probably him going super saiyan 2 but not able to cope with the stress of that form on his body anymore.

Still, rage Gohan is always good. I lived for those moments in OG DBZ lol.

This is just going to be Gohan pushing his body to stall until Goku and Vegeta arrive to beat Freeza and Ginyu so I wouldn't get my hopes up. Since Gohan said that SSJ was a huge strain on his body he's probably just going to go SSJ2.

Awwwwww yeah. I'm back on board with Super now. Come on, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Blue Super Saiyan 2. I believe.
 
I expect it to be just a generic powered up SSJ, like Vegeta vs Beerus, not an actual new form. It was kind of odd that Vegeta had gotten such a crazy rage boost in the first place. It had to have been bigger than any of Gohan's, which is odd if Gohan is supposed to have greater potential.

Gohan doesn't deserve any kind of "giant power" right now. He doesn't train like Piccolo, Vegeta or Goku. I don't want him to be useless but it would be silly if he gets handed yet ANOTHER power up.

If that magazine is to be believed, he won't just be handed it though. He's going to have to train so that his body can handle it.
 
We need the first super humans, like now.

Krillin and Tien

Human attacks should have some special property. Like greater energy output/density per Ki level or some shit.

Destructo disc and tri-beam as examples.


It could be emphasised, they already display such potential.

Nah, there's nothing in the manga about that. He's probably talking about how the magazine says that next episode
his body won't be able to handle the power. So, presumably, in order to actually be useful with it he'd need to train.

I guess this might tie in with Vegeta's quote in the manga about Gohan having the greatest potential among all of them. Gohan's potential had never been referenced in Super before, so that line seemed kind of random. Of course, in the end, so far he isn't even part of the Universe 6 tournament team, so this might just be a "Goodbye Gohan" type of thing that won't go anywhere.
 
Really starting to believe my theory that Gohan gets
left behind for the tournament only to encounter trouble while everyone else is gone. Either that, or Buu won't be able to go for some reason.

You know what I just realized...with Vegeta, Goku, Piccolo, Buu and possibly Gohan gone...who will protect earth? Z Fighters with Gotenks? Seems like a stretch...this could be a plot point...

Rage boost SSJ2 would be a nice thing to see. Frieza better transform into his final form to hold off Gohan though, because if he stays in his first form, that would just be terrible :(

The episode preview shows Freeza still in 1st form when Goku and Vegeta arrive, so that's not happening.
Considering how his body apparently can't take it, I guess Gohan will briefly overpower 1st form Freeza, but then he'll fall down by himself right afterwards, unable to keep fighting on that level. Then Goku and Vegeta arrive to save the day like shown in the episode preview.
 
I love how this potentially sets up Gohan to be stronger than SSB Goku and Vegeta
 
Why not? If he
can't handle the power, it means it might have more potential than Goku or Vegeta's forms. I know it's the potential game all over again, but still.

Would be a cool way to differentiate between pure-bred Saiyans and Half Saiyans too. Aka purebred are the only ones that can achieve Super Saiyan Blue, and the monkey like SS4 form is due to genetics being mixed up.

SSJ4 Vegeta looked like a guy trapped in the 70s

and then you have the eyeliner. I don't know how anyone likes it
