I'm not reflexively opposed to mobile games, and they've confirmed a worldwide release for this game so we won't have to jump through hoops just to find out if it's any good, so I'm excited to see what it is (and how it ties into the name).

The campaign was to reveal details before 18:00 on December 9; they didn't get 4k retweets but they did the full reveal anyway:

Dodonpachi Ichimen Bancho is a "completely free" iOS game that'll launch on December 14 JP time; more details to be revealed closer to launch.

They also announced they'll be bringing their soundtracks to various digital storefronts (iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, other JP outlets) starting from December 11, and it sounds like the first three releases will be Dodonpachi Daioujou, Mushihimesama and Deathsmiles.

Its definitely a STG, that much is known.

There's a trailer coming tomorrow, IIRC.

That was always the intent of the campaign, I think--retweets would have "unlocked" info early but the full reveal had a solid schedule from the beginning, which is probably why it didn't take off like they'd hoped.
