That is a sight to behold. Remember when we had 4 characters at the select screen

Looks like F.A.N.G is a charge character judging by all of the down-backing that Combofiend is doing.

Makes sense, I suppose. 3 of the 4 Kings of Shadaloo were charge characters. And with Sagat gone & Vega no longer a charge character, someone had to take up the charging mantle.

Being a charge character would certainly explain how those upward double fireballs are that fast

Poison state seems to be permanent. Does damage way too slow, but it should be interesting to see in pro play, if someone can stay defending for significant amounts of time.

Remains to be seen if poison damage can kill tho.

FANG looks like my kind of character. Super annoying, long reaching normals, easy combos, and an escape move. Looks like his stamina might be a little low though.

Ew, what's with all the motion blur on the characters? It looks awful.
It is just that video?

The characters don't need that. I don't want to look at a blurry mess moving around screen, especially when trying to keep an eye on frames.

Also what's the point of nice model with good textures and details at high resolution if you're just going to blur it all out. Don't do that to characters in fighting games where they are the focus. Background and effects, fine, just not the characters.

I hope this isn't forced on the PS4, if so, I'm going solely on PC for sure.

So the poison does really little damage.

BUT it seems to eat white damage, which means your best bet is to keep pressing; if they block, you are still doing real, actual damage.

Sagat left Shadaloo of his own accord as of Alpha 3. He only used Shadaloo to get his salty runback with Ryu.

I thought he left in SF2? SF2 takes place after Alpha 3 and he's pretty clearly still one of the Four Kings in SF2.

But yeah, post SF2 Sagat realizes he was consumed by revenge and leaves. Sagat isn't an evil person, he just let his anger towards Ryu overwhelm him.

It was a retcon.

Here's the explanation from the plot guide.

From Clay: Sagat was temporarily a member of Shadaloo. He was
approached by Vega and did join. I think that Sagat also wanted to use
Shadaloo’s resources to help him track down Ryu for his rematch. However,
after Sagat came to terms with his defeat and regained his ideals (also a
true warrior’s spirit), he decided to separate himself from Vega. He is
an honorable man and there isn’t any room for honor within Shadaloo. Sagat
realized that he didn’t fit in with Vega’s evil intentions and that he
was being used by Vega.

Note: Sagat’s initial joining of Shadaloo illustrates just how lost he
actually was (as mentioned in the previous statement). Sagat was so blinded
by hatred and his desire for revenge that he allowed himself to join an
international crime syndicate. Sagat was very vulnerable and beatable (as
Adon proves) during this time. This shows all of the character flaws and
personal weaknesses that Sagat eventually overcame in his SFZ2 ending and
SFZ3 storyline.

To resummarize: Capcom of Japan has officially stated that Sagat is no
longer a lord of Shadaloo in SF2. If you play SSF2X Revival,
there are no references whatsoever there of him being a member of
Shadaloo. The official storyline now is that he joined after SFZ2, then
quit Shadaloo FOR GOOD after he realized there was no honor in being a
member, most likely when he saw what Vega did to Ryu in SFZ3, therefore he
is not a member of Shadaloo for SF2 anymore. Groupings of all four
shi-ten-nou still exist however because Vega continues to see Sagat as
one of them even if Sagat himself doesn't.

So a retcon after Revival, basically.

Basically his normals do actual chip damage if they're blocking while poisoned?

That's actually kinda insane.
Wait, Fang's air kick auto-corrects? Combo jumped over mike and he turned around in the air.
No, it seems like a move that straight up hits in the back like Gen's crane jMK
