Actually enjoyed that episode... Got a kick out of Beerus chasing both Goku and Vegeta. While I'm bummed to see Ginyu go, it was sweet to see Vegeta destroy him like he was nothing.

I just wish they had made Vegeta and Goku a bit more emotional about Piccolo's death (at least for Goku) and their friends and family being in danger.

reading Dragon Ball Multiverse. Krillin from Universe 9 is such a dope idea.

edit: think I saw Beelzebub from Sandland in a panel. This is pretty cool.

Did they reuse a cell from One Piece, maybe?

Considering Gohan looks like this and the end of Z, it's a given that he's going to train again.

Bro y'all gotta accept the last chapters of DBZ have been retconned.

By this point Bulma and Goku would already had have to stop seeing each other at all.

Yet Goku will still go back to see Bulma according to the new manga. Pan is 4 at the start of the Tournament at the end of DBZ, which means that Bulma and Goku have not met since Pan was born, which has been blatantly contradicted.

Sorry Gohan-bros.

because he completely jumped the shark

He is apparently now a scholar or what not but he ain't even close to Bulma's intellect

he is competing with Yamcha for scrubness

heck at this point it would be more logical for Pimp Dracula to replace him

Clearly Devilman is the guy they need to protect earth from evil guys.

Lmao, Multiverse is great if you just take it as mindless fun. Literally anyone AT had part in designing or whatever, shows up. There are
Dragon Quest
characters in there for god's sake. It's just insane.

look at this page lol

Only like 100 or so pages in, but the majority of fights are like 6 panels long and it's hard to keep with who's who from each universe.

That's because they release it page by page every few days so they have to stuff as much as they can, which makes the paneling shit.

The absolute worst thing about it are the alternate universe filler chapters. Absolute trash, all of them.

Anyone thinks bringing a past villain back as a main plot is a crappy plot device? I know for a series with a central theme of a dragon capable of reviving characters, such plot is inevitable, but it just felt lazy and uninspired to me.

The Cell victory one was kind of funny.

Again, it has lots of fun ideas, but it lasts way too damn long. Every fight is pretty much a squash with a few teases.

Still better than both of the AF fanmangas, dear god.

Gohan literally fell apart just trying to power up into a Super Saiyan. What a joke. Gohan will either fall out of complete relevance after this or actually get his shit together.

...well you got me beat. what the fuck is that? and why does it look so cool

In dragonball AF, the western supreme Kai was apparently a battle crazy bitch and also Freeza's mom. After Goku beat freeza she intercepted his pod back to earth and roofied him to have a child.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I vaguely remember reading the fanfic that introduced him. Basically, they Western Kai raped Goku to get herself pregnant with his baby.

uhhhhh...wow.

He wasn't just trying to power up to SSJ. He was trying to exert more force than his body could handle. He was trying to go beyond

Gohan was trying to gather up as much Ki as possible so Goku could use IT. He had no intention of fighting, and even if he did, his body is fucked up. He wouldn't do much.

...Well, rather than the recurring villain plot device I'd think the static plot progression would be more unnerving. Goku isn't around/gets delayed8/injured so others (jobbers) have to take center stage while Goku (Hero) gets time to save their ass.

Cell Saga was such a good departure...

Isn't that exactly what the android and cell saga was?

Sorry Gohan-bros.

The End of Z chapters were still specifically referenced during RoF's build up and promotion. We just haven't heard anything about them regarding Super itself. "5 years" generally doesn't mean exactly "(365 days x 5) +1 (or +2)", but rather referencing the last year that they met. So, for example, if Pan's birthday would take place in the same year as the end of Z, it just hadn't arrived yet, that statement would fit just fine. What might rule out those chapters is what will happen going forward in Super itself (how long will be the timeskip between Freeza and the Universe 6 tournament, considering how Goku meets Bulma yet again there).
