Having a page seems to indicate more representation for it than I would have guessed.

Edit: As Inferno said, probably some New Republic Senators showing up or something.

Just based on what we have already,
I think we see the senate who say fuck no to a war with the First Order,
Leia says screw you steps down as a senator and creates The Resistance with her former Rebel Alliance allies(Akbar, etc).

Some of the leaked pages of the visual dictionary from Reddit. Rey is basically confirmed force sensitive.

Han and Leia were married and Han was a family man until a tragedy occurred.

The MF.com call sheet is looking rock solid. Sounds like Maz already has the lightsaber.

Lor San Tekka, former Deacon and Treasurer of The Church of the Force. Excommunicated for starting a fight in the parking lot, showing his junk to the pastor's wife, and turning the red wine into yellow wine with a bitter, salty taste.

If Finn really is Force sensitive ... wouldn't Kylo already feel it? I mean .. there's a guy who can become a great warrior among you. Yet, you (Kylo) seeks out to destroy every last Jedi but Finn apparently goes unnoticed.

Makes me think he isn't Force Senstive at all. Finn I mean.

And FUCK spelling. Damn iPhone.

Maybe he is, maybe he isn't at this point we have no idea.

I don't think he even notices it with Rey until she lets the force in during the interrogation. But yeah you would think so.

Looks like Lor San Tekka witnessed the Clone Wars?

We already knew that from a long time ago. It was one of the first things we found out about him.

Really? I must have missed that. I mean, I know it makes sense since he's old as hell, but I must have forgotten about that.

It led to the rumor about him being a character from the prequels.

Not that interesting of info really. Anyone in the galaxy old enough was around the clones wars to some degree.

The Force Awakens

Or it could just mean that, no, Kylo doesn't sense it. We don't know what their interactions have been like. I'm not expecting them to know each other really, I'm thinking that Finn will just be some random deserter to Kylo. How could Finn not know how truly evil the FO is, if he had already been aware of Kylo? They get out in the field for his first mission, and NOW you start getting cold feet, when the obviously evil dude with magic...starts wrecking shit in a way that you knew he had the capability of doing?

I think he knows who she is, if that "Is it true you're *just* a scavenger" line is actually in the film, and if it comes at the moment I think it does (Their first battle in the forest).

Well...it should all be moot later tonight after people start chattering about the premier. I'm looking forward to knowing everything by the time I get back from work.

This might belong in the speculation thread but did anyone else notice the intriguingly long face of Master Cherff Maota. Perhaps Snoke is a turned Jedi Master??

What we need to take from this...

THE UNKNOWN REGIONS!!!!!!

Combine that with the new books mentioning "the Fleet Admiral" being in charge after ROTJ, and I bet they are laying the groundwork for Thrawn (a new version). I am predicting it now!

I don't think Finn is force sensitive as well.

But he is supposedly one of the best soldier the First Order has (the reason why Phasma takes great interest in him) and trained in melee weapon combat, Which is something the First Order does with all it's soldiers. So he does have the great warrior part down.

Kylo knows Finn. John Boyega has even confirmed it. Not on a personal level though I'm sure.

Thrawn isn't happening let it go.

I think they have a confrontation at the start of the film.

Kylo's like "Let's destroy shit and burn stuff down" and Finn is all like "Hmm, yeah, maybe we're the bad guys?"

Sure.

Cuz he's a double triple agent. He's a Bothan Spy disguised as a stormtrooper while in reality working for the Resistance without the resistance Knowing he in fact is Kylo Ren.

It's way more complicated than this. He's replaced his own hand with Luke's severed hand from ESB. He's slowly becoming a different/new version of Luke due to the nano machines midichlorians in the hand.

I'd be very surprised if they rewrote the thrawn trilogy to match the current canon.
thrawn will simply be part of the legends EU and that's it.

Yeah some maybe some Senators will show up and hassle Leia or something. Either way it is a visual dictionary so there will have to be some sort of visual representation of the senate in this movie, which like I said, was more than I expected.
What is this and why have I never seen this before?
That Mitchell and Webb Look. Great sketch comedy from the same guys that did Peep Show.

They keep creating brand new species and characters, and EU fans continue to reach by expecting EU characters to show up in important roles. It's not happening, so stop setting yourselves up for disappointed.

Your only hope is for a thrawn like character

I'll be so bummed I'd Finn isn't force sensitive.

Personally I want him to be. I don't even want him to be a Jedi I just think it would be awesome to have a force sensitive "normal" character that uses those instincts to help him in situations.

But I wouldn't expect it, especially not in this movie. In 8 and 9 they could explore that possibility.

Maz is exactly that character.

edit:

Maz is exactly that character.

Maz seems like some ancient hermit type of thing lol.

I think some are hoping that Finn is actually using powers, fighting for the Resistance, instead of just hiding out in a tertiary role.

It seems as though the film ends with them together in the same location. So the potential is there for some mentoring before sending him on his way.

In regards to BDT...going out on a limb and guessing...shady NR politician, sells our heroes out in Ep.8.

My new theory. Kylo and Rey are actually twins, both Luke's kids. Luke gave Kylo to Leia and Han to foster because he sensed some dark side inclinations and wanted them to keep the force away from him.

While it would be cool for Finn to have powers I think his arc already is pretty interesting that he really doesn't need to be force sensitive as well. He's one of the better soldiers of the First Order, seemingly indoctrinated at a very young age which is why his call sign is the base for his name and he doesn't have a last name. Phasma herself is very interested in him (perhaps even sees him as her pupil) and then he abandons all that he has ever known. That alone makes him one of the most interesting if not the most interesting character so far for me.

I need to buy this book when it's out.

Yup, me too!

Fuck that totally has to be it. General Hux and his blunt tool failed, so reel back to the main fleet and the cunning admiral (hence the dark grey shade of villain) to show everybody how its done to mirror the Empire Strikes Back.

Ya'll going to be disappointed when dude turns out to be a Knight of Ren.
