The daily deals and the flash deals made the sales more interesting. I would always be alert when all these deals would go up. Either way, as long as we get good deals, I'm in.

we don't know

they did? Do you have a link for that?

it was pretty much in all of the talks while the winter sale wasn't specifically said to not include them in a definitive state, it was repeatedly included when talking about incoming sales and how they wouldn't be doing daily sales.

I mean maybe there was a misunderstanding, but given valve's reasoning for dropping them I really can't see them including them in the winter sale.

Oh, i see. Thanks for the source, that sucks :(

Im curious how many publishers it will take to screw with the % discounts and prices before Valve says something.

Can't wait to buy games which I'll be surprised to find in my library already 3 years from now when I try to buy them because I want to play them.

Typo in the OP

It´s a "GAF-Classic". The winter seal.
Was someone who made a typo some years ago for real though.
Dang. I feel a lot less clever now

Durante pls
Get Legend of Dark Witch
It's like megaman games and just as hard

Hoping to nab a survival game like ARK or The Forest in this sale. I've yet to try any in the genre yet because I'm afraid they'll feel like a chore. But for less than $10 I can bite.

guilty gear for $5
mgsv for $1.25
undertale for $.65

A man can dream.

That is such a cool feeling to have, it's like "Yeah go past me, you rock!"
But then you see all the other junk you bought and you go "oh god think about all that money I wasted."

Still worth it.

I only bought TIS-100 during the Autumn sale. I have about $70 in my Steam wallet if I decide to splurge, but the lack of dailies/flash sales will probably curb that.

I still haven't played Ori and the Blind Forest from the Summer Sale.

I hope there are no more dailies or flash sales. I kinda liked the last where I could buy what I want when I want instead of waiting for a week to see if it would go cheaper. Or being worried I missed out on a flash sale cause I couldnt be infront of the PC all the time.

so do we think the change in the way they're going the sales (no dailies, etc.) is having a positive or negative effect on how many copies are selling?

I feel like some people go "oh snap it's 75% off for 8 hours, I better jump on it now," and you might lose out on some sales if there's no time pressure pushing people to buy immediately or "miss" it.
