It's not a typo. During the 2012 Summer Sale, FrozenByte put up a seal-themed coupon generator named the Summer Seal (and did so again two more times) and the joke of using "seal" in place of "sale" gained enough traction to stick around.

That's awesome actually.

The new "everything in sale immediately and staying at one price the entire sale" system, and the removal of flash sales, means we almost certainly won't see the massive discounts on big titles we have previously though.
I doubt many non-indie junk titles will see discounts of 70%+

Flash and dailies helped me parse through the gigantic list of on-sale games. This is why I believe publishers offered big discounts. They wanted selected for dailies and flash sakes to get that front page publicity. Without those addictive sales mechanisms, I'll check my wishlist (5 games) on day one and probably never check again. I'll be exposed to less than 20 games instead of the hundreds I saw in 2014s sale.
