"Eh, let Johnson figure it out"I know that Kasdan and JJ liked the idea that you could fill in the blanks of what happened between trilogies in your mind.
But it sounds like we're getting basically: ¯\_(ツ_/¯

Can't wait for that Star Wars edition of Blacked![]()

So no, you haven't seen it.
I have.
There's a trench run in it.
Boyega is damn good. Way more than "competent."

Conflicted.
Yay, Rey.
My hopes for Finn though.

That last part is real lame to me.
Saw the film at a screening today..
This sounds like exactly what I want. Think about the first time you saw original Star Wars, before the prequels, you didn't know the specifics of The Empire or Vader, but the mystery was part of the fun.
....
Ugh.
That last part is real lame to me.
Sigh.
I have seen multiple people mention it so far.https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsLe...ive_seen_the_force_awakens_megathread/cy0ekvv
So....Does Finn really reference working "in sanitation" for the FO or is that pure troll?
So now that people here have seen it, what's the verdict? I'm watching it this Friday.
Because I straight up asked you and you wouldn't answer so I figured you were bullshitting.
Why is this even still being discussed if you saw the damn thing. There's a fuckin' trench run in it.
You're being weird, Syriel.
Stop being weird.
It sounds like a more action packed version of it, and that's not a bad thing at all!I hope you liked Episode 4. You're seeing it again this Friday.
Bobby, how was the Williams score?
I had certain wishes for The Force Awakens (especially when it comes to the lore-side of things) but is the movie basically just a reset button for the franchise so that people regain faith in it, and Episode VIII and IX are the REAL new movies we've been waiting for?

I figured you were trying to mess w/the folks in here

As much as I sound down on this movie I'm all over rogue one.I'm fine with waiting till Episode 8 for a fresher take on the Star Wars aesthetic.
Wait, we're likely getting that with Rogue One.
Although it does sound to me like they used a recognizable cue from the first Star Wars in a big moment.

I'm still hyped as hell for The Force Awakens, but I guess I should start focusing my hype at Rogue One and Episode VIII now?

*throws in the towel*
For fuck's sake.
Wasn't he at the top of his class? How the fuck does he end up in sanitation?

Why the fuck would I do that?
I think that you would.
But you were right that it's no Creed.
A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away... racism already existed.
My nigga went from wielding mops to wielding light sabers smh. Dude didn't stand a chance.

That was my feeling walking out of it.
Just watch the movie for yourself. But I think people are asking for a bit too much in wanting to know everything in the first movie. Snoke definitely won't get expanded on until the next movie and it makes sense. They aren't going to blow their load early.
Also anyone who didn't think this movie would hit on old story beats or tug at nostalgia were fooling themselves. Everything from the marketing let you know this and fans have been eating this shit up.
Overall I think it'll work for the movie and people will be all in for the next one.
This is a trilogy. Why are so many people expecting answers and major bears in film one?
Look at the OT.
We didn't learn of Lukes relationship till the second film. We didn't see Luke have a saber fight till film 2. We didn't know who the Emperor was outside of a random cameo till film 3. We didn't learn who the other Hope was till film 3z
started from the bottom now we here
So in the trailer when he said "I've been trained to do one thing..." he really meant mopping up shit
How the hell is that the case? When the before the weakening book came out describing he is in the top 1% leading a squad through a training session. Captain Phasma praises him to be Officer Material. Please guys stop buying into some of these trolls. Or if it is true. Than movie and book are talking about 2 different folks. Btw I've only hear this on reddit. Where else have u heard this from cheebo?Bobby, how was the Williams score?

I thought the sanitation thing would be a throwaway line but it ends up actually playing into a moment later on, which was kinda clever.
