Stupid Han spoiler. I mean, I sought out spoilers but I'm kind of annoyed I did it. It should've been expected though.

oh man, text spoilers and descriptions are one thing, but images and audio from the movie might be a bridge too far for me

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

This movie was great, my favourite part was when Rey force pulled and caught Vader/Luke's old sabre during her Ren fight.

Rey, Finn, Poe, BB-8 were all great characters too.

So just got back from viewing it. Overall an enjoyable experience and good pacing but I think it was too safe and very predictable especially if you watched the original trilogy. It's got the formula from the original trilogy nailed down though.

Finn has some pretty funny moments/remarks especially with Solo and I really like Rey's character too.

Didn't find much sustenance to the story though, it is very thin on that... the movie was perhaps a little too heavy on the fan service/nostalgia and I feel it affected the story too much, I hope the movies to follow expand much more on what is happening. There wasn't much development of the story and neither a good indication of the backdrop of what the future holds for the story other than the scene at the end with Luke.

Also my speculation going forward: Luke battles Snoke in second film, dies. Stuff happens with Kylo in second film, abandons the dark side, Rey takes revenge on Snoke for killing Luke since he will train her and form a bond, fatherly figure etc, Kylo will take revenge on Snoke for turning him into a monster and killing his own father Solo. Rey and Kylo will team up to defeat Snoke together.

Ugh I kind of wish I didn't see those pictures. First time the spoilers are starting to go too far for me. Reading is one thing but seeing it via potato can? Ehhhhh....

I liked everything about this movie. It's pretty. It's sounds good. The actors do a good job...

However, I don't think it's the sum of its parts. I walked out feeling like it missed something. Not sure exactly what.

Any impressions of Leia/Carrie's performance for those who have seen it? :)
I thought she was the weakest part tbh

What has this thread become?

I highly doubt Finn will be in a coma for Episode VIII. I am sure VIII will pick up like 2 years after this one in which he will probably be in a different place by then. This was just his introduction. The character will be fleshed out much more in the next 2 films like Han was. His story will probably help shape the galaxy like Han has in recent films. I am rather excited to see where these characters go.

I know right? I've seen the first batch but I think that's it for me until I get to actually watch the movie

VIII doesn't even come out two years after this one.

they should of filmed these back to back to back. i haven't even seen it and i'm already wanting episode 8.

if finn never becomes force sensitive throughout the trilogy i'm done with star wars.

Just got back from seeing it, and now this thread is totally safe to open for me.

The entire audience held their breath in the Han Solo scene. You know it's coming, you know what's about to happen... and then it does. And then we see why it's unwise to upset a Wookiee. But overall... it's Star Wars. Honestly, it might be a little on the safe side, but Disney did it. Star Wars is back, and I hope this movie does well, because it deserves to.

Also BB-8 is totally adorable. But that's not really much of a spoiler now, is it? That's just how BB-8 rolls.

I want to exact my revenge on a certain someone for spoiling GoT for me without remorse. But I can't bring myself to be that big of a jerk. RIP Han.

Just got back. I really liked the movie. The cinematography is great and the characters are really likeable. I really liked that Ray's the Jedi - I just loved her character in this movie.

My only issue with the movie is that there's almost too much action. I think it could have maybe used a little bit more downtime concentrating on character development.

Kylo Ren's a little bitch too.
