Some things I didn't understand or that I didn't like:
Is the base able to fire across the universe or does it have to be in the same star system
(I assume its the later but this wasn't clear to me to be honest)?
Did they destroy Coruscant?
When they suck out a sun, why doesn't everybody freeze to death on the starkiller base? And why do they have to bother destroying a planet when they're able to destroy the systems sun?
A 'Star'system without a star is so screwed up on so many levels, like what is holding the star system together now? I assume that every planet would just drift into space and that the population would just freeze to death.
Why does Rey know about the jedi mind trick?
How does Rey know how to fly a ship? I understand that she is good at it because of superior reflexes and being force sensitive, but the force doesn't teach how to operate machines.
Why was Rey able to beat Ren? The Force now teaches you how to use a Lightsaber? That's weird. The Force was never about LS fighting (and I know that he was injured).
Fin using a Lightsaber. I always assumed that a non force sensitive person would cut himself to pieces. Also he was also able to get some hits on Ren but he was without a chance against a Stormtrooper?
The Han and Fin 'lets run around the starkiller base' segment was cut very strangely, they seemed to teleport around the base.
Hyperspace flight seems a lot faster now. When flying from Tatooine to Andor in EP4 they had plenty of time to sit around and do stuff. Now Rey just flies into uncharted territory in a couple of seconds.
The new music was forgettable.
Very sadly, Phasma was unnecessary to the story and did nothing (they could capture any high ranking officer to lower the shield).
I tried to like EP1 and every time I found something good or a cool scene all the bad stuff just overshadowed it. EP7 is literally the opposite for me. There are some things I didn't like but overall there was so much fun and great stuff in it, the characters were good and likeable, Han was outstanding and the moment he touched Bens face broke my heart. Maybe the most heartbreaking moment in Star Wars.
8/10 I did like it a lot.
