Well it makes sense given that they were trained for decades and the ones in 7 were all newbies.
I wouldn't be so sure "flippy" Jedi's are out for good. We'll see...
Luke was pretty "flippy" in ESB.

Do the Jedi even take vows of celibacy? It's mentioned the code forbids possessiveness, but not compassionate self-less love.
JJ already said that it was both.
I'm not tossing anything away that is in the movies because it's in some cartoon or whatever. I enjoy the movies on their own, don't care in any way what a side show says or doesn't.
A couple of my friends were disappointed that Finn did not turn out to be the leading Jedi but i wasnt because i suspected something was up from the beginning. The franchise is just too large for that to happen so i figured he would do something to get Rey to finally accept becoming a Jedi.
I just hope he isnt tossed aside as comedic relief and becomes a capable fighter in his own right.
But the one saying Rey was just Alec.
Now that's just crazy talk.
When I find out that Finn wasn't going to be the jedi I assumed he would fill the Han Solo role of being a non-force using bad ass.
Yea those are some interesting theories. Also I want them to be both Jedi to help teach a new Jedi Council. Which is where I think this new saga is trying to head too. Snoke and Lor San Tekka were all referring for the Jedi to rise soon!
Did you think Lando was a exploitative character? He wasn't tied to the heroes, he had his own business to handle, but he helped his friend Han because it was the right thing to do.
Finn so far seems a worse character, acting merely as Rey's foil, but we'll see where the next films take him. My main problem with him as he's written more as a Marvel character with the over-the-top reactions. The "Droid, please" one-liner was especially bad, as the OT films never inserted period catchphrases in order to appear more current.
Man, the idea of this saga being to big for a minority Jedi being the hero is just... sad. Though to be fair I say that as someone whose race will never be represented as a Star Wars lead so long as the series exists.

You're doing yourself a disservice. Clone Wars is better than 1 2 and 3.
Look at Han Solo in that gif. That's every girls dream baby-making machine.
:/ What is your ethnicity?
I have no problem saying quite a few of the arcs in the Clone Wars are better than anything in the films. The show does tremendous things. Ashoka is a tremendously popular character among fans.
And it should also be pointed out that for the last few years the main way children knew about Star Wars was the Clone Wars.

That's pretty much what he was in TFA, so yeah, that's very possible.
I dunno if I want to see the Jedi return to its PT glory. I guess it'd be cool, but I'm honestly more invested in Finn being a Force sensitive badass with a lightsaber and a blaster that is a genuine hero than anything else. To be fair, it would be interesting if he and Rey get together but he isn't a Jedi.
Finn is more honourable in TFA than Lando was in Empire. He didn't betray his friends to the First Order. The worst he did was lie to the Resistance so he could get to Rey.
I don't remember that "Droid, please" line tbh.
Anything is better than 1 2 3. The prequels has all the dumb flaws of the prequels on a stylistic level, and I don't care if Muftufu Mirako saves Rantanplan on planet Boogaloo.
I don't like long drawn out stories full of little details and names and locations. That's why I don't like TV shows in general, or comic books, etc. They tend to feel like an all you can eat buffet where there's a lot of everything but you just want something good and move on. I liked the first Ghost in the Shell movie, I didn't like the series. I liked the Akira movie, thought the comic book was crap. I liked Alien, didn't like Prometheus and its attempts to explain everything and be about God and human Genesis. I like Blade Runner, and won't like Blade Runner 2 if Ridley tries to do detailed world-building and another Jesus story instead of keeping it a small story in a big world.
I don't need more Star Wars than what's in the movies themselves, and if the movies lose out to fuel some side content that's dumb. Thankfully I enjoyed VII even with its flaws and am looking forward to the next. I'm not missing out on anything by not watching the Clone Wars. I don't want to have a light saber indigestion.
"These are your first steps" was Ewan.
As others have said, that's your problem..Your questions have answers you don't want to hear. That's fine I guess. But Lucasfilm won't make special answers just for you.
South asian. Might show up as a doctor or a scientist at some point though.

Which question? Find me one answered. You're just repeating what someone said to another poster. I just agreed the clone wars is dumb like the prequels. There's no answers I'm looking for other than what we're supposed to look for in VIII.
Oh man i'm slow, i'm guessing Leia became general in this, instead of princess is so that shes not known as a "Disney Princess"?
As supporting characters probably. But the main saga will always have their Anakin/Luke/Rey as caucasian.I hope that's not the case. I'm hoping that this "reboot" starts allowing more room for diversity.
That said, I think we need to celebrate that a woman (even if she is white) is the "main" Jedi. That's a big deal as well for a lot of people.

I'm looking forward to seeing that explained as well. It looked cool but made no F'n sense and nothing lore wise (old Eu, new EU, Lucas notes, etc) suggest that's how the force powers work. I don't think that's how physics works either. I didn't even have to wait until the scene was done to call BS on that.
Has there been any explanation as to how he froze the lazerfire? that seemed like a new thing.
Which OST track has the SW theme with the heavy drums (like in the trailer).
Hopefully in VIII she gets promoted to Supreme Chancellor .Oh man i'm slow, i'm guessing Leia became general in this, instead of princess is so that shes not known as a "Disney Princess"?
Well, Lando didn't have much of a choice at the time. He had an entire station and those people's lives he was responsible for.
The "Droid, please" line was in the Falcon when he was trying to convince BB-8 to tell Rey the location of his base.

Have you actually watched The Clone Wars?Which question? Find me one answered. You're just repeating what someone said to another poster. I just agreed the clone wars is dumb like the prequels. There's no answers I'm looking for other than what we're supposed to look for in VIII.
I'm sure women and black people said that 40 years ago. Way to have a positive outlook, though.
How much of it have you seen exactly?
So you haven't actually watched the shows?
SO, uh, how come Kylo Ren never got the news on what happened to Vader? Did Luke never tell him about what happened to his grandfather and how he went out on the side of redemption?
Rens light saber was good I thought. People making a stink over nothing
The novelization answers that. He knows, he just sees Anakin and Vader as different. Like how Ben Solo is dead and only Kylo Ren remains.SO, uh, how come Kylo Ren never got the news on what happened to Vader? Cool, just gotta wait until I'm 65 before characters of my race show up as supporting characters.

I know he's talking about a specific rendition of the Force theme from the third trailer, but Scherzo for X-Wings is a play on the actual Star Wars theme with a lot of percussion thrown in there, with a dash of the Force theme as well. There isn't a track like that on the soundtrack, that's not JW's style![]()
