The minute I found out he tried to derail Bernie Mac's rising star by trying to take him out Oceans Eleven he was bushes status for me. Mac already replaced Steve as the final act on the Kings of Comedy tour because Steve couldn't follow Bernie, and Bernie had the superior sitcom of all he Kings of Comedy (though I did love Steve's sitcom).
It only took Bernie's untimely death to get Steve to where he is today imo

IMO Steve just has spread himself too thin with all of these jobs... thought he could semi wing it and didn't really prepare himself with how this thing is announced/run. Thought that he would announce the winner not the runner up...because in other award shows, that's usually the case right? but not with these.

No they can't. And it only applied when it was down to the top 3. The eliminated contestants not in the top 3 got to vote. Unless Steve Harvey lied

I watched it west coast Live (ie. 3 hours after everyone else). I was watching it basically by accident with my family and my son literally joked immediately after they announced the winners "what if they announced the wrong person". I told him to be quiet, that never happens. Though I did find it a little odd that they didn't announce the "1st runnerup".
For the next 3 minutes we just sat there stunned. Probably the best unintentional plot twist I've seen on live TV.

Wow you can feel how awkward Philippines looks approaching to take the crown. Clearly uncomfortable. And poor Colombia, her spirits lifted high and then dropped. Not fair for anybody in that situation.
If I were Philippines I would have told Steve to hit the road and held the crown up with Colombia to declare ourselves the dual winners, and anybody who disagrees can fuck off.
