Holy shit am I seriously the only person who cannot get onto Steam? When I try the client it says it can't connect to the network. When I try to use the website it either times out, or it says my login information isn't correct, then I hit enter without changing any of the login information (WHICH IS CORRECT) and it logs me in and takes me to the main page, but if I click on any link it logs me out.

I JUST WANT TO SEE IF ANYTHING ON MY WISHLIST IS ON SALE ;_________;

buy it, it's great
Fixed that

Stick of Truth is easily one of the best licensed games ever made, up there with Riddick and Arkham IMO. The game looks and feels like an interactive episode, down to the perfect art style to the humor to the recreation of the town. The RPG element is actually a lot of fun, and just as off-kilter and silly as the show itself.

If you're a fan of the show, it's a must-play

No flash sales , not even minigames. All the excitement is gone.

Valve has been toning down the meta stuff for like 3 years now so it's not a surprise. I'm curious if the profit made from this year will be far below previous sales due to higher prices.

I don't have much to buy, I think for future sales they need to go back to the drawing board.

Anyone with Endless Legend experience know if the Guardians expansion is worth it? Definitely jumping on Shadows as the new major faction seems pretty awesome but I don't know much about what Guardians adds to the table.

Also buy Endless Legend. I literally had 0 4x/Civilization-style game experience when I picked it up during the Autumn sale and now, 40 hours later, that game (and rocket league) is my crack. Hours just melt away playing it.

doit doit, 10 bucks for the base game.

Trash dump. FFXIV is a Squeenix key.
Tomb Raider is NOT the new one. Modbot pulled the wrong image from Steam.

Is that Tomb Raider the 2013 reboot one or the 1996? I have a feeling it's the latter and I don't want to enter and win it only to find out I already own the 96 version, haha.

Feels really weird that the steam wintersale already feels 'over' after an hour and with the purchase of a few games. And the reason it even took an hour is because of the traffic overload on the store...

mehhh.....

apparently sometimes modbot fucks up and uses wrong pictures. i'm sure this is the 96 one (humble bundle right?)

How's Company of Heroes 2?

I'm thinking about giving it to my Dad as a gift since he loves WWII a lot. Is it a good choice for someone who hasn't played a strategy game before?

There's plenty of guides and tutorials out there for new players, but the game is rather micro heavy in parts, which might be off putting to new players. Having to utilise various skills, positioning and unit compositions could be tricky if someone's entirely new to the strategy genre.

It's a great game though, and the single player Ardennes Assault has one of the best RTS campaigns in recent years, just by moving away from telling a scripted story and giving you a campaign map to move around in.

Is ARMA 3 any good? For single player that is, not particularly interested in multiplayer.
I kind of want a tactical military game.

Yes. There's many fantastic single player missions on the workshop, such as Pilgrimage, Resist and Deliverance. It's not where the game's at it's best, which is when you get some buddies together and fight as a squad, but it's still very enjoyable.

Here's one game I'm going to copy and paste things I previously wrote to try to get some people to try this severely underlooked quality game:

-----

Here's a game I'm currently playing on Steam that is way too overlooked for its own good:

Why Am I Dead At Sea

I'm about 3 hours in right now, and it's been getting very gripping. This game obviously has some Earthbound inspiration, but to explain it briefly, you're a ghost on a ship who is brought to consciousness by a spiritually gifted passenger on the ship to help prevent some sort of terrible occurrence that he senses is approaching the residents of the ship. You can possess people, but only if you know them well and reach a level of understanding how they work. Come to completely understand a person, and you can take full control of them. Each person you possess has a different personality obviously and recognition/relationship with others to allow different dialogue stuff to talk about, but each also has a special ability, ranging from being able to see what's in peoples pockets to being able to tell the tone of the voice someone's voice is in for a line of dialogue (okay, aggravated, hiding something, etc.). Even your spirit self has a special ability to peek into the mindscapes and thoughts of others (which is actually done in a pretty cool way). Featuring multiple endings and branching story possibilities, the game has enjoyable characters, an interesting and twisting story, and actually delivers many unexpected feelings of a range of emotions throughout, and has a really good soundtrack.

And yet it's barely gotten over 1,000 in sales and most don't even know it exists. Deserves WAY more attention.

Here's some screens:

Insomniac's little indie Steam experiment "Sit Down, Bull" is $1.01

King's Quest episode 1 is $0.99. No idea if it's good and/or if the season pass will ever get a decent discount, but that's a start.

I got Kings Quest complete collection for $10 on newegg last month tho

Sad that most of the prices on the stuff I want is the same as the Thanksgiving sale or higher lol. Boo on the Sakura and other animu games not being cheaper.

Whelp, I was waiting to buy a couple things from the GMG sale to see what they would be on Steam. Guess I am buying them from GMG.

Only thing I might finally bite on is the Quake Collection. I was hoping that would get down to $7.50 but paying $2.50 isn't going to kill me.

It's a tiny thing but going through the discovery queue with the lag time between selecting an option and going through games is aggravating.

So, Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition and Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin both got good discounts and I was thinking if I should get both right now. I've never played a Souls game before, I've only seen friends playing them and I thought they were interesting, but never came around buying it.

Now I've finally decided to give it a try, but I don't know if I should get Dark Souls II right away or just try the first on and then, if I like it, try the next one. Granted, if that happens I would have to wait til winter (south america) for Dark Souls II to get a new discount.

I'm a little short on the money side (only have around $20) and was looking forward to getting other things, like Skyrim: Dragonborn and Aviary Attorney, maybe Witcher 1 and 2 as well, since that is another franchise I was hoping to get into. What would you guys suggest?
