Steam Holiday Seal 2015 |OT| This isn't the account you're looking for

I'm usually a sucker for those sorts of games, but I just couldn't get into it, don't know why. Plus the long gaps between acts means you're probably going to forget a lot of the story so far once a new one comes out. I wouldn't buy it until all of the acts are released.
Know any other atmospheric novel-like stories? Just finished Tales from the Borderlands and looking for something like it.

Sadly not. There's a few good missions, but a lot of inconsistency again. I've not looked at the ARMA 2 mods out there, so can't advise on that.

Damn :/

I remember really liking the Cold War Crisis campaign, but of course OFP was something completely new then, so it was easy to overlook its problems. (And weren't there many... Commanding a tank was such a chore as the AI was incredible accurate with bazookas.)

This will be the first sale I spend less than fifty dollars on, and hopefully the only sale I spend nothing on. Then again, I buy so many games I don't play during these sales, this might be good for my wallet.

they're on sale so it's easy to pick them all up but if you had to pick one.

Ys I+II is the place to start.

People frequently recommend Oath as a good starting point.

Hows DMC 3 SE on PC??

The issues that exist can be massaged over with mods that are available. Check the Steam forums for wide-screen hacks and xinput wrappers.

I believe there are also mods to replace the direct input icons with Xbox or Dualshock prompts.

Wait, KY0 still isn't complete? Jeez.

I see the devs have stopped mentioning an approximate end date on the store page, haha. The game was originally expected to be complete by the end of 2013.

For those considering a purchase, I'd say there's no harm in jumping in now as the game has never been more than half off and I very much doubt that will change until some months after the final act has released.

I do not understand this choice.

I used to excitedly check my phone at noon every day of the sale. Excited to see what the sale was today. Now it's just a mess and I don't give a shit

Exactly; do they expect us to browse absolutely everything? I never bothered with anything that wasn't a daily/flash deal, even on the last day of a sale.

Any impressions of Hover: Revolt Of Gamers?

I can't really give you any good impressions because I dropped the game while in the tutorial. It just didn't feel good to me.

I might go back and give it another chance. The reviews make it seem like I played a totally different game.

I only played the first borderlands for like 20 hours. Never played 2 or presequel.

Will I be okay playing Tales from the Borderlands? Or am I missing out on some info, backstory etc? Don't want to buy it if that is the case.

Not to mention that what's there to play already is some amazingly atmospheric content.

LISA is a must-buy at $2.50, correct?

Totally, if a quirky RPG with black humour and some serious as fuck moments is your thing.

I won't bitch about the sale because I reached that point in my account's life where I have so many games that I don't see myself buying like a crazy person anymore. Plus, there's recent stuff I wanted that I can already play through family sharing on my brother's account, like Life is Strange.

Bought:

Undertale -20%
Aces Wild: Manic Brawling Action! -80%
Betrayer -80%
Detective Case and Clown Bot in: Murder in the Hotel Lisbon -85%

And that's it for now. I decided to start doing some clean-up on my wishlist too, so much accumulated garbage there haha.

edit: also bought Malebolgia -70% and D4 -50%.

Gone Home. It's very short, but I really liked it. There's very little comedy though, if that's what you liked about TftB, The Stanley Parable has that aspect covered but is less of a story (check out the demo). Or you can try some of Telltale's other well-regarded games, like The Walking Dead or The Wolf Among Us

I'm kinda tempt to get Dreamfall Chapter though, I've been eyeing this ever since it was announced and even bought the previous games for it which I have yet to play, hmm decisions....

.

do it! the new engine update improved a lot of the performance issues and book 4 came out recently and its been great so far.

really hyped for the final book.

So what games are less than a dollar right now? I posted Oniken which is at $0.50.

I think I saw someone posting a game around 0.14 cents lol

It's a buy even if you haven't played any of the Borderlands. The game is littered with cameo characters, but the main cast are all new characters to the series.

What a shit sale, the only thing I want isn't even a game. Getting Sony Movie Studio Platinum 13, I liked 12 and bang for your buck it's good.

Discovery queue needs some work; I'm only going through them to get the card drops, none of the games coming up are ones I care about in the slightest. I get more out of scrolling down the front page of the store than going through the queues, and I don't have to wait 10+ seconds for it to load either.

I haven't played a lot of Borderlands and you pick up on most of the important backstory while playing it.

Fucking Bethesda. I can't get New Vegas Ultimate because it's "Already in my Library". Which is of course bullshit. So the only way for me to get the DLC's is to buy them all separately which costs a good deal more than the Ultimate package.

Edit: Oh. You can buy it regardless. Nevermind, outrage for nothing :lol

I see your edit. I was gonna recommend removing the original game from your library as an option.

Buy it! Amazing adventure game! Can't wait for Book 5.

Also: Final Fantasy XIII-2 still problematic about FPS or did they fix it? Can i play stable 60FPS with this system? (and maybe 4k)

I think'll grab it and Undertale to see what all the fuss is about. Thanks

No LR sale. ;(

If you're talking of Lightning Returns it's 15$ on GMG.

Yeah same here, Undertale was one of those must get during sale games for me but just 20% makes me hesitant, but as you safe at least now one has time to think about it.:D

20% def puts it away from the impulse-buy zone for sure

outside word of mouth the game doesn't really appeal to me so i'm not in any real hurry to buy it tbh

This sale is so disappointing. I built up a nice wishlist of games to buy but the discounts aren't substantial enough for the ones I wanted the most and I don't want to have to settle for the lesser titles on my list.

At least Double Dragon: Neon is on sale for $0.99.

OK.

Undertale, Kentucky Route Zero, and Ys VI

This is a decent haul I think.

Been eyeballing Trails in the Sky and FF XII trilogy BUT I already own them on their respective Sony platforms so I can and will hold off for now.
