Download Chrome -> Load Enhanced Steam -> One Click Turn to Gems
I did that last sale, the same problem and it actually is worse on Chrome (like everything!), inventory loading after gemifying is even longer and it crashes more.

Since the first episode of the new King's Quest is only 99 Cent, I might buy that to see if it is something for me. Can I combine my Steam Wallet with the remaining Cents in my PayPal account?
Hi thread.
Is it the length of an average indie game?
Yes you can combine Steam Wallet funds with your Paypal Account/Credit card.
It may have started out as a mobile game, but the port was handled expertly. 60fps at arbitrary resolutions (I played at 1440p with no hiccups) and a ton of graphics options and such if I remember correctly.
The game had that Zelda-like "exploration and puzzle solving" aspect down really well too. The story is pretty linear but there is a lot of potential backtracking to find extra goodies or to level up your character further. Speaking of which, being able to level up your character in a meaningful way in a Zelda-like game was pretty great.
It's definitely worth checking out.
Hi thread.
MY GOD.
There are literally 100s of crappy Minecraft/DayZ/Survivalcraft/(early access, open world) etc. games out there. And somehow most of them end up in my discovery queue even though I've never bought one of them. They're the WWII shooters of 2015 I guess.
No day deals or flash sales really sap the life and interest out of these sales. Who ever thought it was a good idea to stop this must be nuts.

Anyone play Grey Goo? The rts? I'm looking for a good rts that won't break the bank. Even games like Anno would be up my ally. Haven't played mang rts games in a while, so I kinda want to get some
I strongly recommend it if you're looking for a good Zelda-like game. It's pretty short (about 8 hours or so, more if you're after those 100% achievements) but looks beautiful, plays great, and oozes charm. It's another game that's in the running for my top 5 of the year.
Well we only have ourselves to blame, as the removal of flash and daily sales are likely the direct result of refunds being possible on Steam now. Personally I think it sucks, but I'd rather have consumer protections like that year round then better sales a few weeks out of the year.
Picked up Hacknet.
Here's one game I'm going to copy and paste things I previously wrote to try to get some people to try this severely underlooked quality game:
-----
Here's a game I'm currently playing on Steam that is way too overlooked for its own good:
Why Am I Dead At Sea
I'm about 3 hours in right now, and it's been getting very gripping. This game obviously has some Earthbound inspiration, but to explain it briefly, you're a ghost on a ship who is brought to consciousness by a spiritually gifted passenger on the ship to help prevent some sort of terrible occurrence that he senses is approaching the residents of the ship. You can possess people, but only if you know them well and reach a level of understanding how they work. Come to completely understand a person, and you can take full control of them. Each person you possess has a different personality obviously and recognition/relationship with others to allow different dialogue stuff to talk about, but each also has a special ability, ranging from being able to see what's in peoples pockets to being able to tell the tone of the voice someone's voice is in for a line of dialogue (okay, aggravated, hiding something, etc.). Even your spirit self has a special ability to peek into the mindscapes and thoughts of others (which is actually done in a pretty cool way). Featuring multiple endings and branching story possibilities, the game has enjoyable characters, an interesting and twisting story, and actually delivers many unexpected feelings of a range of emotions throughout, and has a really good soundtrack.
And yet it's barely gotten over 1,000 in sales and most don't even know it exists. Deserves WAY more attention.
Here's some screens:

You could have both. Valve just decided it wasn't worth the effort.
I'm in the mood for a KOTOR... I played KOTOR1 a decade ago but really didn't click to it, being a total jRPG head at the time.
I think now after playing Fallout I'm more tolorant to the wRPG concept. New Vegas especially has me interested in Obsidian's take on Star Wars.
Can I skip to KOTOR2? Is it advisable? Or should I play through KOTOR1 first? It's probably a brand new game to me anyway... It's been so long and I remember nothing about it.
Quick question, not sure if this is the place to ask.
Will Xcom Enemy Unknown run well on my Macbook Pro from 2013?
This would be my first real game that I've purchased on a laptop, so I'm kind of new to this.
Lol, just noticed the Humble Square Enix Bundle. What a middle finger to the buyers of their mistery Bundle lol
Sweet.
Hacknet is my Surprise Hit of 2015.
The game makes you feel like a bad-ass hacker thanks to a real command-line interface.
Wickedly intelligent and sophisticated. Great writing too.

This is always cited as the reason and it makes some sense, but couldn't Valve just enforce a "no refunds on the $5~ you would have saved if you had waited for the daily, you bastard"? Or a "refunds only accepted after the sale period" or something. Between the no dailies or flash sales and the increasingly piss poor discounts themselves it makes me think there's more to it than just refunds.
How long is Undertale? Is it the length of an average indie game?
Anybody have any feedback for any of the following?

I didn't get that far.You can skip KOTOR 1 as the second game brings you fully up to speed in the first few seconds, but it does spoil the plot twist in the first game. Sounds like you didn't get all that far in KOTOR 1
Yes, again, they could do whatever they wanted to. When Valve sent out pricing notices for this sale they basically said "Price everything as if you were featured in a daily deal sale in the past" and obviously the publishers came back with a resounding "lol, no".
Also, any time you put additional rules or stipulations on the refund policy you're exponentially increasing the amount of work that needs to be done in order to enforce those rules and stipulations.
How accessible is Pillars of Eternity for someone who doesn't have much experience with isometric CRPGs?

What are you even buying?!I wanted so many games on the sale that it ended up adding up to $500+. No way in hell I'm spending that much money no matter the %. So now I'm refining the list further down to the base essentials, I always set a budget every year for Summer and Winter and this went over $400. You think it's nothing with $1 here or $4 here, but BAM! $500+. Steam is a tricky bitch.
Ah thank you!Yeah, it's pretty good. It's a very old school RTS, with a well designed single player campaign. Lots of beautiful cutscenes that hark back to the glory days of C&C, just with a lot less cheese. It's not got a whole lot of tactical depth or micro-management, so if you can attack move with your horde of units you'll win 99% of engagements with the AI. But that's not necessarily a bad thing, hell, it might be exactly what you're looking for.
Just don't play the Goo first. They're a very, very different style of faction, and you need very high micro skills to properly manage them.
