My friends reaction: the first 3 episodes are better then this... I don't know how to react.
I hope holograms being in color now sticks.
I like the wording of it. "You imagine an ocean. I see the island." Functions as both foreshadowing of Luke's location and Rey's awareness of the Force, and as a metaphor for their paths: Rey's expanding possibilities and Kylo's increasing isolation.
also I aint down with wookie plastic surgery

You jest, but Jar Jar actually eliminated quite a lot of droids by "accident". How many enemies did Finn eliminate?
Can't believe I'm doing this....
Can anyone tell me (aside from Jar Jar, and the prominent use of CGI) what is wrong with the prequels? I'm rewatching the OT at the moment and noting down my thoughts.
Red Letter Media has reviews on youtube for all 3 prequels where he breaks down pretty much everything that is wrong with them... I've honestly watched those reviews more times than the actual prequels. Can anyone tell me (aside from Jar Jar, and the prominent use of CGI) what is wrong with the prequels? I hope not.I REALLY hope we see Ewoks in one of the next two movies. They are too awesome.

I was planning on seeing it imax 3d tomorrow. Went online earlier today to buy tickets, already sold out of all showings tomorrow. Oh shit. Guess I've got to wait for the weekend.

There were like 50+ people already lined up 40 minutes before the doors were open, and the place filled up in about 10 minutes after that. Pretty ridiculous for a 1:20pm showing on a Tuesday. Movie is a juggernaut.
How would that be cool hahaRey being Shmi Skywalker would actually be cool as fuck, if Lucasfilm plans to go down that route then they have my full support. That shit would break the internet.
Did you miss when he stopped fighting and punched his wound?Kylo Ren isn't strong with the force. The dark side is meant to be more powerful. Yet he got his ass beat by two amateurs with no jedi training. He's clearly no Darth Vader. Yes he got shot earlier but they don't how the injury affected his movement during the actual fight scene. He appears to be really going at it full speed, swinging with both both arms hard, no sign of him being slowed down by injury.
Surely Ren killed all of them when he went to retrieve Vader's helmet. I'd rather see new species.
But will we ever learn what happened to Mala and little Lumpy?

Now you've gone and done it.
Have you seen them before, by the way? I'm not sure if your question is from the perspective of someone who hasn't seen them and wants to know why so many people dislike them, or if you've seen them and enjoy them and are confused as to other people's feelings about them.
FYI I enjoy the prequels even despite their flaws.
Mark my words
Rey = Shmi Skywalker

Death Sticks man died from the death sticks but was reincarnated as Rey, now he fights with a stick.I'd say deal with it.
By the way, I guess I'm the only one who wants to see the return of Death Sticks.
Did anyone else find the solar powered Death Star (that charges in less than an hour), to be completely absurd. Did J.J. get a ten year old to come up with that very clever idea for him?
I like the idea that Ren and The First Order killed a bunch of Ewoks on their mission to get charred Vader mask.
But there is no time travel in SW =/
But Death Sticks went home and rethought his life!Death Sticks man died from the death sticks but was reincarnated as Rey, now he fights with a stick.
The Force has time travel now?
I haven't seen them for quite a while. Only thing that stood out was Annakin's poor acting, but I loved how Padame's death and other events led him to the dark side. It was relatable. You understood his feelings.
I'm almost half way through Empire Strikes Back now, and aside from Yoda, I'm getting bored. If people love this, and seemingly TFA, I'm trying to imagine how bad Episode 1, 2 and 3 must have been.
Yeah, pretty much this right here. If anything, The Force Awakens even further provides reason why the prequels are just bad movies in general. No part of the "story" or anything the characters do in Phantom Menace makes any kind of sense at all.Red Letter Media has reviews on youtube for all 3 prequels where he breaks down pretty much everything that is wrong with them... The short answer? Everything. Everything is wrong with the prequels.
Finn is the Force Awakens fandom speeder bike. What is this "shipping" talk when talking about Rey, Finn and Poe?
How many Death Star type things have they made? How often do they keep getting blown up? Those dark side chumps need to learn something.
They probably just got pelted with stones until they left Endor.

3 so far.
This last one was just pure fan pandering.
They'll probably need some other galaxy threatening weapon for at least Episode IX. Get excited?
