I didn't see that when I flipped through the art book, but that reminds me of this from the Korean webcomic.

Here is what I was talking about.

Wtf... my friend says that this lightsaber battle was the worst... I I I just can't react. And he compared it to the PT duels... No I don't have this friend now.

what if... episode 9 has a new Dyson Sphere sized base called the Galaxy Ganker that is so powerful it sends Rey and Finn into the future, to a populated planet, a planet called... Earth.

Where they meet Snoke's final form, Thanos.

I don't see how Starkiller is fan pandering. It would make zero fucking sense for an order trying to rule the entire galaxy to NOT have something like that.

Dude, just deal the fuck with it. Let him think whatever he likes, it's not like your opinion is better. Or are you looking for validation here to feel better?

Is it possible the Starkiller base was a prototype Deathstar?

Can't remember if they said it was new or not.

How did the Deathstar move anyway?

I think the duel of the fates three way battle was more interesting than the saber battles we got in this movie but it's too be expected as the wielders didn't seem to have much training using them.

People feel that it's stupid that Rey beat Kyle because "Kylo has had so much more training than Rey." RedLetterMedia brings up a good point about that.

Jedi training - as communicated in the original trilogy - is not about how long you spend in a classroom environment with a teacher, "learning about the force." In the OT, Luke trains with Yoda, sure, but Yoda makes a point that Luke's REAL training is how he composes himself while facing Vader. In the end, it's moments like that which are his training.

Rey had all the training she needed in this movie. Finding her inner bravery and spirit during her interrogation meant more than any X amount of hours spent in a Jedi academy. She already composed herself in the fight better than Kylo did. That's why she won. Simple as that.

She's Shmi Skywalker that's why she's so powerful and cool

Not sure, if already posted

J.J. ABRAMS recently read the script for Episode VIII of Star Wars. And he had a reaction to it that his lifelong friend, “The Force Awakens” actor Greg Grunberg, had not ever heard from the director over their decades together in the industry.

“He read it and said something he never, ever says,” Grunberg, who plays pilot Snap Wexley in the new film, tells The Post’s Comic Riffs. “He said: ‘It’s so good, I wish I were making it.’

“He may have said something one time on ‘Lost,’ with Damon [Lindelof, the co-creator],” continues Grunberg, whose credits on Abrams series include “Lost” and “Felicity,” “but I never hear him express regret like that.”

They'll probably need some other galaxy threatening weapon for at least Episode IX. Get excited?

The Undeath Star. You thought a lazer that destroys planets was bad? You've not seen anything, what about a lazer that raises zombie dinosaurs and zombies and zombie Sith from the dead to take part in Necromancer Snoke's army! It's the most undeadeningly deadly foe they've ever faced, with an unfathomable crowd-pleasing appeal sure to send Star Wars into the twelve digit realm.

Seriously though, I think it will almost certainly be related to an ancient Sith or ancient Jedi weapon given they're exploring the first Jedi temple and Snoke seems to be a villain who has been around for quite awhile. I'm hoping they go along the lines of something like the Star Forge.
EDIT:
Just one, giant, flying lightsaber. It just stabs planets to death.

I change my answer to this please. That or a gigantic Snoke robot armour space ship that wields this massive planet destroying lightsaber and the final fight is Super Gigantic Mecha-Snoke versus Rey.

Wow If true.

I love that too. But in this i can really feel they want to hurt the other. On that fight we had completely trained force wielders.

I don't understand why the Starkiller even needs to fire. Doesn't destroying the sun destroy the entire solar system? Why not just go to the solar system you want and drain the sun? Firing kills two solar systems: the one you are aiming for and a completely random one. Seems excessive.

Don't think this has been posted. Looks like a lot of Maz was cut after all. JJ on the scene where Maz passes the lightsaber to Leia...

“That was a scene actually filmed, but we took out. At one point, Maz used to continue along with the characters back to the Resistance base, but we realized that she really had nothing to do there of value, except to be sitting around,” Abrams told EW at a Writers Guild of America (West) post-screening Q&A this weekend.

“Lupita did film scenes on set for that sequence, but it felt it unnecessary. So we ended up leaving those things out,” he said.

Its also interesting there is only one page in the art book that even remotely talkes a bout Snoke, and they only show two images of him.

They look like near CGI finals though, which is odd cause the boom shows you everything from concept to execution for the most part.

They are definitely keeping him under wraps.

Also Rey's name was originally Kira and Finn's was Sam.
