The greatest of all carrots that they wave in front of Hispanics, immigration reform, is something they've repeatedly shown to only care about as a bullet point to get elected and are more than happy to throw it under the bus if it'd require a bipartisan effort to pass it; gotta get that cred, and we certainly can't share it.
