Well Assassin's Creed 4 isn't on sale, does that mean it will NEVER be on sale this Christmas? I had been eyeing that game for a while heck I GIFTED that game to a friend once when it was 20.... should have just bought it then. Last Assassin's Creed game I played was the third one, and I've been waiting to scratch that itch for awhile.

It almost never goes on sale IIRC. Have to get it.

During the black friday sale Ubisoft put black flag on sale (75%) during the day assassin's creed was highlighted.
They might do that again... or maybe they wont.
A lot of the HoMM games were usually 75% off before during dailies but now they're only 50% off even though they're highlighted today. So maybe Ubisoft just dialed back their sales cause there are no dailies. I mean FC4 isn't even on sale even though Primal is coming out next year and now would be great time to get people into that series again.

I got the Style Switcher and Resolution Mods in prep for awesome. But when I couldn't change the settings file to work with my controller (I've got a third party 360 controller), I was so out.
Really sucks too cause I've NEVER played DMC 3
Ah. I played it with my Steam Controller letting me rebind anything the way I want outside of the game, which is very helpful in situations like these.

Is The Talos Principle worth picking up if I don't really like puzzle games, and liked Portal but mostly for the narrative/GLaDOS?
I'd drop Frozen Synapse and replace it with Invisible, Inc. I'd also drop The Cave and Massive Chalice, couldn't get into either.
I'd definitely keep Rogue Legacy and Bastion.

Man, Frozen Synapse is so fun once you get the hang of things. It also has an amazing soundtrack.
I want to buy and play Rocket League because it looks like tons of fun, but I suck at playing multiplayer games for long; I feel like no matter how fun it was, I'd play for 3 hours and be done with it. I don't have the group of friends that I'd require to keep coming back to it

I'm not saying it's bad, I actually think it's pretty decent. I never finished it, but I played a ton of it and had fun. However, I think Invisible Inc is a much improved version of it. It's ridiculous how much I love that game. In fact I'm just realizing I didn't include it in my GotY list...

René Descartes was a drunken fart, "I drink, therefore I am". I like all my philosophy with humor, so perhaps this is not the game for me.
At the beginning of the last sale I wanted to get Assassin's Creed Rogue, but it was only on sale in a double pack with Unity. Then a few days into the sale they lowered the price of the standalone edition. So Black Flag could still end up on sale in a few days..
I' d drop Bastion, The Cave and Massve Chalice. All three look really good but all three are shallow, bland and/or boring imo.
Get Arx Fatalis at all costs if you haven't played it!

Why Am I Dead At Sea
I'm about 3 hours in right now, and it's been getting very gripping. This game obviously has some Earthbound inspiration, but to explain it briefly, you're a ghost on a ship who is brought to consciousness by a spiritually gifted passenger on the ship to help prevent some sort of terrible occurrence that he senses is approaching the residents of the ship. You can possess people, but only if you know them well and reach a level of understanding how they work. Come to completely understand a person, and you can take full control of them. Each person you possess has a different personality obviously and recognition/relationship with others to allow different dialogue stuff to talk about, but each also has a special ability, ranging from being able to see what's in peoples pockets to being able to tell the tone of the voice someone's voice is in for a line of dialogue (okay, aggravated, hiding something, etc.). Even your spirit self has a special ability to peek into the mindscapes and thoughts of others (which is actually done in a pretty cool way). Featuring multiple endings and branching story possibilities, the game has enjoyable characters, an interesting and twisting story, and actually delivers many unexpected feelings of a range of emotions throughout, and has a really good soundtrack.
And yet it's barely gotten over 1,000 in sales and most don't even know it exists. Deserves WAY more attention.

I have a question about DARK SOULS II: Scholar of the First Sin. If someone has the base game of dark souls 2 and I purchase them SotFS full game as I can't gift the upgrade version. When they receive it, will they have both games? or would count as an upgrade as they already own it? If that makes sense.
