Flywrench is legit.

I also start to dig the new sales-format. It's nice that you can buy games when you discover and actually want to play them. It's cool not having to wait with the purchase until the final day and meanwhile be disappointed every day because the game you want to play is not a daily deal.

How big is the chance for a sequel. Game looks deep as fck, but it's... Old. ;__;

The chance of a sequel is 0,1% because Troika was bankruptcy and WhiteWolf nearly goes to Bankruptcy too.

The good news is that Paradox Interactive (Europa Universalis/Crusader Kings/Cities: Skylines) acquired WW then we have the chance to get a strategy game at least.

Wow. Lost Planet 2 is a pain in the ass to get running on Windows 10. GfWL will hang for a bit trying to connect. Fail. Then you get told to update, it'll run another installer (after closing the game) and then runs fine. But that initial hang is AWFUL. You can't do anything.

No wonder they're selling it cheap, it's probably gonna be delisted soon.
Thanks for the free 1000 to my X-box Live profile, though. Capcom.

Been playing Why Am I Dead at Sea and it's a really engaging little murder mystery game. Lots of walking and talking, but it does a good job at presenting the cast of characters in this mystery. And to think I hadn't heard of this game until someone mentioned it in this thread :)

Scouring for more hidden indie titles in this thread and the other one. Also got Renowned Explorers, which was compared to roguelikes and FTL by another GAF member.

I do want to get Contradiction, though that's not got any discounts in this winter sale at the moment.
I also want Contradiction but I have enough to play that I can continue waiting for a sale.

Shit, what's the word on Serpent in the Staglands? Just landed on it in my DQ and it looks fucking cool.

Reminds me of this old ass game Aleshar World of Ice...

Any recommendations for me? Recent-ish games I've played on steam and enjoyed were Grandia II, all the UmiharaKawase games, Remember Me, and Resident Evil 5. I'm gonna get some more monies soonish so I want to have some things to think about.

Way of the Samurai 4 and D4.

Holiday Sales were better back in 11'

Sorry I've been a bit out of the loop and just realized the sale is on. So it looks like there's no daily deals and everything is on sale for max sale price for the whole sale???

So killing floor 2...worth it? and what game is it comparable too?

Similar to any horde-mode game you've played.

Personally Id say wait. They are really milking out the update timeframe. Who knows when itll be done at this rate. That said, it is really good in its current state.

NO

it's unfinished and tripwire's already loaded it with tf2 esque crates for microtransactions

second early access game i ever bought, first being besiege. regret kf2.

Im ok with them. Its not like you need to open them. Its pretty easy to ignore it.

I've also taken The Old Blood [Nuuvem] and the Season Pass for Bio: Infinite. I'm also thinking on taking these: [I'm pretty sure i'll take all of them in a few days tbh]
- Dishonored DLC
- Ancient Space
- Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers
- Shadowrun Dragonfall
- XCOM: Enemy Within
- Euclidean
- Hyperdimension Neptunia RE:Birth 1
- Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny
- Bound by Flame
- Gray Matter
- Killer is Dead

Grrr, I want to buy this but I have a strict policy that I won't buy any game until I clear my backlog to a certain degree, despite the price. If I succumb to buying games I won't play in this very week, all hell is going to break loose.

Vampire has been on my future to-do list for a while now.

Easy, buy and play Vampire this week.

You will be a happy Gaffer, believe me. :)

just kidding, but the game is very good even today. Awesome Bosses (dat Shaolin brothers/dat True faith bastard), awesome atmosphere/universe (dat hotel/dat Giovanni Mansion), awesome writting (play a Malkavian for the sake of god!), awesome bugs (install the community unofficial fix), awesome voice acting, awesome npcs (Lacroix, lol), etc

Rocket League is $11.20 on GMG with the 20% coupon vs $13.99 on Steam. 4 pack on Steam is probably the best deal as it works out to $10.50/copy if you don't mind coordinating it.

Legend of Korra worth trying at $3.74?

I'd say so at that price, wouldn't fork out more than $5 for it though unless you really love the series. It's got an interesting combat system but that's it really, everything else is a C in terms of effort. The level design is just plain bad and at points serves as a way to connect the random cutscenes together. The enemy encounters are pretty uninspiring as well. On normal at least the game doesn't really let you flesh out and play with the combat system which is dissapointing.

At the end one of the VA's mentions something along the lines of there being only one person who would play the game to the end and see that screen. It really does feel like they designed it with in mind.

Hey can anyone point me to that huge ass post with recommendations on bunch of horror games that Dusk Golem (I think) wrote in one the previous Steam threads, can't find it myself, thanks.

How Beginner's Guide? I did like the Stanley Parable, so I probably look at this to get something small this time around.

The similarities begin and end with being metacommentary, but what you'll find in The Beginner's Guide isn't about making fun of gaming tropes and things we put up with these days. I don't want to say too much, but it's a very potent experience for some.

Not a comedy game, very personal (almost voyeuristic). Very, very effective dissection of a few separate themes which are left to you, the 'player', to infer. I thought it fascinating, if a little indulgent (though the narrative absolutely allows for that indulgency).

It's a story.
