Only played the first couple levels so far, but I can give my initial impressions. Didn't know a whole lot going in, but it was quite different than I expected which isn't a bad thing. It's more of a stealth almost strategic killing game. You're basically trying to take everyone out without letting other people see you do it, you can do this by setting traps(poisoning party food, putting a golf cart in drive when people are in front of it), or by isolating people walking around and killing them. You get more points for hiding bodies and stringing kills together. If a body is found the police come, but if no one saw you do it, they'll just leave. Pretty interesting.

Also if you do get it the voice acting is dogshit, but the cutscenes are really just mega man level story filler so its not too important.

I feel like its systems are a bit too simplistic. There's great precedents on the PC for this kind of real-time tactic stealth game in the Commandos series or Desperados and I don't think Party Hard achieves anything like their level of depth.

It's pretty tough as well, with no checkpoints or quick saves in a level, even though they can be quite long. I did love experimenting in those older games, looking for solutions just by trying things out, but you're being punished for that here. Maybe that's why I kinda bounced off of it.

The story/premise is garbage and should probably be ignored, but the presentation in terms of pixel art, environments and soundtrack are all well done.

It's not that popular but more people should check out Hawken. It's f2p so no money needed to try. It's a mech game but if that intimidates you dont let it. It's basically the call of duty of mech games.

Warframe is pretty great. Not an FPS, but one of the best TPS right now. It is more about coop and less competetive, although it features PVP. Also it is F2P with a very fair pricing system

Yeah, I've played through Tales from the Borderlands, too. Better writing than the actual Borderlands games, and I actually like those games' writing.

Tales is a very good game, too, but it's not exactly up there with Undertale or Life is Strange IMO. I'm waiting a little longer to post my GOTY list for this year, but Tales is currently sixth place.

Kinda scared to try Undertale now.

It's best to go into Undertale with blind, with no expectations. It's a great game, but many of its fans overhype it. I might be one of them.

Whaaaat? I remember loving Dreamfall, so much so that I even now consider it being in the top 5 of all time for me. Granted, played it when it back when and haven't tried it since.

You're entitled to your opinion. Those who love it, I get why. It had good graphics, it had compelling characters like Zoe, it had some nice callbacks to the first game...it was mostly well-written...

but I played TLJ and Dreamfall one after the other. After TLJ, I was ready for more point-and-click action with April Ryan...and Dreamfall fell short. There were fewer puzzles (and easier ones to boot,) April's character was minimized in more ways than one, the combat/stealth was... just why? ... and more than one area was literally "walk here and activate this cutscene." It was so different from the first game that I enjoyed it less.

Mathematically, it's a massive price decrease as the vast majority of the games are at their lowest discount for the entire sale, rather than the vast majority just seeing a general sale discount while a vast minority are featured.

Do it again now. The thing on the webpage tells you that you can get new cards before you actually can, I noticed the same thing yesterday. Whatever hour just struck in whatever time zone you're in is when you can get new cards (19.00 GMT+1 for me).

Man the lack of dailies and flash sales really has me tempted to flesh out the holes in my library. A lot of these games I've already got on console, and I'm really thinking about dropping $20+ to buy games I own just for the better IQ and performance. Is that dumb? Valkyria Chronicles, The Line, GTA4... I've had them all for years and have hardly played them... though I love having fewer excuses to boot up last gen systems.

I'm really enjoying Her Story so far. The concept is so simple, but it works out. You're piecing the story together on your own pace, and at one time you're connecting a set of puzzle pieces, then another search term sends you in another direction... It's still too early to get a full grip on things, but I'm loving it so far. First fmv game I've ever played, but this is turning out to be a good one.

Think it has DirectInput support. Nice enough port from the first few hours I played. Only issue is the CGI cut scenes don't scale well. As in they're just dated.
