I'm setting up a new PC, and I'm trying to copy over a bunch of steam games from an older PC.

I copied over all the folders in "common" to the new PC "common" folder, and when I try to download a game it says "discovering existing files", but after a while it ends up simply deleting everything in there and begins to redownload everything.

Why is it doing this? Can steam not use the existing data anymore?

EDIT: Nevermind, it seems that Steam moves all the data it found into the "Downloading" folder, and then moves it back to "Common" after it's done downloading any old/missing files.

Well, I'm back on the junk. Picross DS consumed a good chunk of my life (borrowing Jeremy's Japanese copy and playing it, buying my own Japanese copy and playing it again, buying the US release and playing it a third time) and now it's happening all over again. I picked up Mario's Picross 2 and Mario's Super Picross while in Japan and I can tell they're going to completely destroy me if something isn't done.

Am I the only one who likes Picross this much?

EDIT: Immediately after posting this I caught my hand wandering over to the GB. No! Noooo!!!

Just finished episode 1 of Life is Strange.

It was...not bad. Kinda "choice simulator." I've never really seen a choice between two good things, though. Got nine photos, then went back to get #10 (started from "slot 2") and may have erased all my choices. Oh well!

Still...a worthwhile experience.

KOTOR II, Jedi Academy as you said, and Jedi Outcast, Tie Fighter, Force Unleashed 1, and Battlefront 2 are really good too, I can't remember if BF2 has servers still up though.

Well worth the price if you you don't mind RND gameplay (as in 95% to hit and guess what you missed!) and having to deal with it - which IMO makes XCOM, well XCOM, especially on the Iron Man mode where you cant reload / save state.

I use that flag as well. I've more or less only used that flag.

3. You can play on steam link with the combination of one steam controller and 1-2 xbox 360 controllers

Just got a steam link and want to play more multiplayer. Even weird/indie ones would be great. Just want something to muck around with when my friends come round.

I love it. There's a good mod too called "The Long War" that really ups the difficulty length of campaign and equipment options.
