I'm kinda posting this around, but what good 2-3 player games are around that fit the following criteria-

1. Local multiplayer (same or split screen or a-sync I don't care, but easy enough)
2. Fun with at least two, better if three?
3. You can play on steam link with the combination of one steam controller and 1-2 xbox 360 controllers

Just got a steam link and want to play more multiplayer. Even weird/indie ones would be great. Just want something to muck around with when my friends come round.

Samurai Gun, Nidhogg, Speedrunners, Lethal League, Duck Game, Worms, Gangbeasts.

I heard Towerfall is good

"This game is in your discovery queue because it is popular."

So is that all this thing is?

I mean, any basic algorithm should be able to look at my library and figure out that I'm not buying many games because they're "popular."

I've had ones that said something like "... because maybe you'll like it". Whatever the wording, it was clear it was just a stab in the dark.

Hell, I'd be happy to specify /why/ I'm marking something as Not Interested if it'd help the recommendations. A Netflix-style 5-star rating of games you've played could also help.

It's useless, broken garbage.
Have fun clicking through 900 F2P MMO Zombie Survival shooters.

The Rayman games fulfill all your requirements.

I use that flag as well. I've more or less only used that flag.

I'm setting up a new PC, and I'm trying to copy over a bunch of steam games from an older PC.

I copied over all the folders in "common" to the new PC "common" folder, and when I try to download a game it says "discovering existing files", but after a while it ends up simply deleting everything in there and begins to redownload everything.

Why is it doing this? Can steam not use the existing data anymore?

EDIT: Nevermind, it seems that Steam moves all the data it found into the "Downloading" folder, and then moves it back to "Common" after it's done downloading any old/missing files.
For future reference, you can move steam games without the extra discovery step if you go one folder down and move the appmanifest_#####.acf files as well.

Ubisoft not on sale is very likely to get a discount later, like during fall sale.

It's what I'm hoping for.

This will probably be all I buy (for myself) this time. Definetly not as fun/interesting without the dailies and flash sales.

On the plus side ... less uncertainty about what you want to buy?
Yeah, this trumps the sense of excitement we used to get from the previous sales, but I'll miss that urgency. Too bad because Valve got close to perfecting that particular sales style last winter sale. Flash, dailies and votes were handled much better last year than the previous ones.

That would mean they'd have had to actually implement it competently, instead of half-assed like most of the features.
I've never really used the discovery queue until this sale and I think it has a ton of potential. Like, there's all this data they have that could really help guide people to games they might not have heard of. And while I've occasionally run across something new, it's mostly just stuff that I don't have a lot of interest in or games I've known about for a long time and might check out some day ... I guess.

You know...this discovery queue thing just doesn't work for me at all. Any games that I don't know of is predictably shit or in genre I absolutely have no interest in. Toma's hidden gem thread is actually way better to find...well, good games that are actually hidden.

I'd agree, but some stability is also kind of welcome. At least for me.

Agreed. Mine's been full of F2P games and AAA titles I have little to no interest in.

This item is in your queue because it's on sale!

..."Overwhelmingly Negative"..."Mixed"

No thx Steam, pls.

Tempted by Life is Strange, the demo almost convinced me but it cut out too quickly IMO, not the best demo but the game looks interesting.

I was going to buy Resident Evil Remaster but of course it's not on sale despite being on sale plenty of times before. Fuck you Capcom.

Damage so far for me is only Grim Dawn (2 copies). Gifted the other to a friend. The best thing so far in the sale for me is how the cards increased in value. I had over 300 to sell and unloaded a bunch already.

I found each subsequent chapter to be better than the previous one so I recommend getting it. 4 > 3 > 2 > 1 > 5 for me.

Was left with around 3 dollars after buying what I was mostly interested in. Anyone has recommendations for that price? Mainly interested in adventure, action and rpg.

Peer pressure wins, I'll grab it before the sale ends as I'm still working on The Waking Dead.
