Shadowrun Dragonfall - Directors Cut

This man knows what he is talking about. This is the only proper answer. Seriously $3 is insanely good price for this.

Btw, also props for whoever suggested weekly Humble bundle. Didn't realize it was going on and was going to get D4 and ROM anyway. Apotheon and Dyscourse were nice bonuses. Now I am still left with $100 cart trying to figure out what to cut.

let us have a look at your list, maybe we could tip you what to cut from sucker.

So I'm considering getting either The Evil Within bundle or maybe some Resident Evil titles, any suggestions? I've played RE4 and 5 before but don't own either, would like to play 4 on PC. Also I thought people hated RE6 but it has a 'very positive' rating on Steam, is this actually a good game?

I'm done for Holiday 2015. Time to start saving for Summer 2016.

Hopefully by summer Rocket League will be cheaper, only one I'm kind of sad is not cheaper and had to miss out on.

An awesome GAFer just gave me a free copy. Thank you r3n4ud again. ♥

Scooped up the Borderlands Pre Sequel for $15. Game always looked like an expansion pack to me so I finally paid an expansion pack price!

may I ask how much you paid for them? unless you're planning on playing every single one hundred of them, you could have also bought rocket league instead of 10 random others, no?

unless, again, you're actually planning on playing through every one of them.

That's a lot truly. Some real good games even. Nice haul.

Don't plan to play all now, I've become sort of a collector, but not to that "JaseC level".

I see and value games based on my own view of each game, I just didn't feel it was worth it at $15.39 CDN. Plus with games like that where it so heavily relies on multiplayer it will inevitably get a lot cheaper. I'm in no rush, I know Rocket League is no Evolve. I'm sure it will get cheaper, just wish it was cheaper sooner.

That $15 went into 30+ games that were $2 or under and were 75% off or higher -- I think I only got 1 or 2 games under that % off. Hell, I want Dirt Rally more than Rocket League, but that is just a ridiculous price, sale-wise. I don't mind being patient, just speaking my mind.

That's a lot truly. Some real good games even. Nice haul.

Thanks.

I really hope some people can get some ideas on games to search up and see if they like and get. It's how I found out about Snakebird, and a few others.

Glad you didn't notice Aliens: Colonial Marines. :p

People hated RE6 for its ridiculous and nonsensical story...even when you compared it to RE5. But the gameplay is a solid action and has some depth to it compared to previous games.

Yeah, not really feeling this sale. Everything is just exactly on a price where I still don't wanna spend the money on it. The lack of time pressure from the flash/daily sales really takes away from my eagerness to spend anything. Only bought Unreal Tournament 1999 out of nostalgia. That and the Claptastic dlc for Borderlands TPS because my co-op buddies decided to just buy the season pass without communicating it through. Luckily only the one dlc adds some meaningful content so I don't need to commit to the full season pass. Still trying to find that cheap hidden gem I didn't know I wanted.

I went nuts this time too and bought

- The Long Dark (Moved to Alaska a couple months ago I figured it beeing dark and cold outside would add to the atmosphere)
- Nuclear Throne (No discount unfortunately, but the game is worth every penny)
- Hotline Miami 2 (Loved the first one and this one will probably not disappoint)
- Hexcells (Saw it recommenced a couple times in different threads here and after about an hour of playtime I can confirm that it's a fun little game)
- Darkest Dungeon (The screenshots always looked super tempting but the mixed reviews held me back from buying it. Apparently most "unfair" difficulty issues have been fixed so I snatched it. Can't wait for a new challenge a la Dark Souls)
- Undertale (What I've seen so far about the game looks kinda meh, but the overwhelmingly positive reviews don't come from nowhere. I guess I'll find out for myself)

Are there any other games that you can suggest? I'm eyeballing with Crypt of the Necrodancer and Project Zomboid. How's the latter?

This might also be a weird question but how "easy" is Sunless Sea's english/wording? As a non native speaker but having lived in the US for 3 years I have no problems understanding 99% of the daily english, but when it comes to fancy worded things, I might have a problem. Is anyone here in the same boat and can tell me about their experience?

Invisible, Inc? Tales from the Borderlands?

Anyone here know of a way to get Assaassins creed to run at 144hz ?

game never goes higher then 60 fps .

Disable V-Sync?

Some people through the use of google-fu recommend a program called RefreshLock - I've never used it, but it could be a solution to your problem.

anyone played legends of einwhald?

lux like a kings bounty/homm esque kind of thing

sounds like a competent game but the multiple "WARNING: AFTER MANY CHAPTERS OF THE MAIN CAMPAIGN YOU WILL BE TAKEN AWAY YOUR ARMY, INVENTORY AND GOLD SIMILAR TO GAMES LIKE HOMM3 OR DISCIPLES 2." messages in the description give me a weid feeling

Man. Grim dawn is so much fun. I just started today and couldn't put it down. Put about 6 hours into it almost immediately. My wife was getting mad lol.

So glad to finally play it. It is so satisfying.

Ah yes, I remember those days well, my first few sales. Was fun :(

The Evil Within bundle I wouod vouch for, TEW is a very love it/hate it game, and the game changes tones multiple times. While not the best judgement, there is a demo of the first three chapters on Steam that will save your progress if you buy it, if you are getting into it by chapter 3 (since the first two chapters are the game sort of starting up) then I would say get into it. The DLC is also different, but worth it I think. Two part side story DLC with new locations/enemies/gameplay things, but its stealth focused. Both parts together are around 5-8 hours of gameplay. Then a 1-2 hour first person arcade type DLC with a story and a lot of pretty fun boss fights. As an addition, I thought the DLC's story was better than the base games.

Resident Evil 4 may be worth getting for the upcoming HD Texture mod: http://neogaf.com/showthread.php?t=757346

RE5 if you have someone to play with and feel like replaying, and if you do I recommend the DLC. It includes two new chapters, Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Struggle, which are the best part of RE5 in my opinion.

RE6 I wasn't feeling when I first got it, but it has grown on me so much. PC is also by far the best version of the game, the solid 60fps adds a LOT to the combat, game has a ton of mods, and the PC version has by far the best version of Mercenaries, arguably one of the best parts of RE6. It has exclusive to it No Mercy for one thing, which is a blast in RE6 with a shit ton of enemies. No Mercy includes Left 4 Dead 2 characters to play as, and the option to turn on L4D2 enemies Witch and Tank. Also included all the DLC mercs maps on consoles in the game itself at no extra cost. RE6 has a learning curve to it, the game doesn't explain shit to you, but it has very in-depth and fun combat mechanics. Game has an uneven quality canpaign though. Some stand-out and fun parts, but other parts are bad and drag. It's a mixed-bag.

Not on sale on Steam, but I heard was on sale on Uplay(?) or something and redeemed on Steam, but remember that Resident Evil Remake is available on Steam.

Also, I and others on GAF also quite liked Resident Evil Revelations 2. It gets better with each episode and worth checking out.

If on a RE kick for the action styles, also remember Dead Space 1 and 2 are on Steam, and for a B-fare kind of game like it, there's also Cold Fear and Dark Sector.

Do you wish you had more time this Christmas? Maybe to take some lovely photos, meet interesting people and help your friends out? Or maybe just enough time to get ready for the mosh pit? I hear you, shaka brah.

Thanks a lot, it's complete season, unexpected.

Looks interesting, would you say it is worth $14 though?

I'm curious about it too. If it's just another janky euro RPG then I'll have to leave it until... many years later, when I actually have time for that sort of thing.

And zky, the army warning just sounds like a "we're switching over to another perspective"-style thing. Like going from Humans to Elves or whatever, in HoMM. Probably added to the store page because people kept going berserk about it during Early Access, if I had to guess.

Project Zomboid is fun in short burts, but still hella incomplete. If you want an authentic zombie survival simulator, PZ is at the forefront. And by this I mean, you'll scrounge for resources and eventually die, starve to death, or turn. They have some very exciting developments around the corner, but development is a very long-term thing still--don't expect it to leave EA any time soon.

Regarding Sunless Sea, it is very artsy in how it words things. It's highly evocative and atmospheric, and it doesn't hesitate to drop you right into an alien setting. It takes anyone a while to get used to. If stuff like referring to the sea as "the zee" throws you off too much, you might want to reconsider buying it. Sunless Sea definitely use some more esoteric words, but really, that's just an excuse to look them up!

Probably because it became just about the dailies, everyone waiting until the very last day to buy something.

Yeah, but I think it kept making people looking at the front page everyday. Like if people realize the same deals are still there that were on the first day there's no incentive to keep going to the storefront. I dunno

i remembered a video a friend of mine did on that game that wasn't super positive and convinced me not to get it

guess i'll pass, sounds good in theory but not super confident in it after some of the things said in the video

System Shock: Enhanced Edition "fixed" controls aren't totally fixed. It helps with movement and a bit of the looks but you're still using the mouse for stances/leaning/etc. until you learn the keyboard binds I guess.

I dunno what I expected.jpg

I guess I should wait for the remake, since even the "redone controls" show how old the game is and the graphics haven't been super-spruced up to at least be semi-stomachable like SS2's.

Do I need to get Galak-Z at the current price?

Maybe it'll drop more.

Maybe I should get Crawl instead since it seems it will never sell for less than 20% off.
