I think restricting the card drops to be after two hours is silly. Make it so cards can be traded when you hit two hours. That way, short games could be played back to back and still get your cards without wasting time.

Yeah the first 2 UFO Defence and Terror from Below, Apocalypse is pretty good too though a bit jarring being set inside a single city and it adds real-time with pause. The other two, bleh....

It'll take like 15 hours to figure out what the heck you're doing, though. And the Steam version has miserable performance for a DOS game; not sure if there's a tweak for that or what.

I loved the original X-Com games, but with Xenonauts out there just really isn't much reason to play them. Xenonauts gives you everything those games did, and some of what the Firaxis reboot did and didn't as well. Well worth whatever you end up paying you're a fan of the genre.

Finally 100%'d SquareCells. It took me 7 hrs because the last world is pretty tough and I have no patience at all. It's no Hexcells, but it's still great to have. I'm there for any future installments.

Last few months have seen a bit of a slowdown for production, since everyone's been hit with finals, work and family time for the holidays. We've tinkered with some odds and ends in the meantime, but we won't be back to the grind until 2016 rolls around. I want it out just as much as everyone else! X_x

Hey friends, I'm going to take this time to recommend Elliot Quest. It's like a Zelda II + Metroid-ish open-ass world, and it's really cool. Really, really cool. It's got a ton of content, lots of it optional, and it's got some interesting puzzles built into the world. Here's the thing, it doesn't hold your hand. Like, it won't even go anywhere near your hand. It plops you into the world, and you have to figure it out from there. It can be difficult, but it's not La-Mulana confusing or anything like that.
It's 5 bucks right now, the cheapest it's been on Steam (it's been cheaper on Humble), and it's a 12-20hr journey. 12 if you just do the mandatory stuff, far more if you decide to explore. Pro tip: Keep track of stuff in the world. You may need to backtrack a few hours later, and it's really easy to forget things. Keep track of locked doors and unreachable items. Trust me on that.

The combat system is simple but challenging, the soundtrack is AMAZING and the story very interesting (I'm waiting for the sequel).

Some are, most aren't, but they are concentrated in space and time so you don't have to wait a year keeping an eye on prices, which is a big plus (for me).

The biggest thing the original games have is re playability. The maps are procedurally generated, so you never know the terrain, beyond generalities.
(XCOM2 will apparently feature this)

XCOM: EU (Firaxis' XCOM) has premade maps, yeah. With the expansion, Enemy Within, it's not a big deal. But in the base game it could be a bummer, with you seeing the same map a few times in a campaign.
If you played XCOM:EU a lot it would be even more of a bummer.
XCOM 2 will definitely feature procedurally generated maps. That and mods are the main reasons they went PC exclusive this time 'round.

Yeah, it's great to have so many games I like and want to play. I will probably be adding BD to my list. I already finished it on ps3 but if the price is right might as well go for it!
Going to try and get a second haul going before sunday is over.
I love many genres, shooting, racing, platform, action, rpg so I need to do a better run through . Just seems shooters are most popular on pc and easily found.
I love puzzle and amplitude games as well. Anything with fun physics is nice too, contra, flight adventure, ico whatever.
