I have a feeling ren knows rey before any of this happened.. I dont know if any of you remember, but when a first order officer told ren that bb8 had escape with finn and a woman help them escaped from jakku, ren was suddenly furious like "what woman ??" While force chocking the officer..

The first 30 min of Kylo Ren were actually exciting ( the village scene made me believe we had a strong Vader contender) but through the movie , his aura as a dark character decayed exponentially

The point of his character is precisely that he tries to come off as badass but is actually pathetic on the inside, seduced by the light side. For all the complaints about how this movie is too much like episode 4, Kylo Ren's character arc is the one new thing that I see people instantly ignoring or deriding just because he is not Darth Vader 2.0.

I had fun and enjoyed it. I will say that the stormtrooper captain was super underwhelming. I was expecting a lot more from her. Also I don't know if it was just me but I found the sound too weak. Any form of blaster, gun or ship, didn't leave a lasting impression with me. I simply couldn't hear the pew pews lol. Rylo's light saber was a bit much.

I think Rey having a familial connection to the Skywalkers is too obvious. To have that much force power, I'm assuming it was Luke's attempt at a force baby like Anakin but it went awry or he chickened out.

The Republic didn't want to wage war anymore, especially since the former Empire retreated to Outer Rims region that had never been part of the Empire/Old Republic anyway. So they signed a peace treaty and both sides reduced their military forces as a gesture of goodwill.

Leia thought this was bullshit and has kept the battle going as the underground Resistance. Some people in the Republic support the Resistance but not officially. And as we know, the First Order didn't actually reduce their military.

Pretty sure this was one of the flashback/vision scenes (though cuts off before he ignites the saber). I remember the confident hooded walk in the forest being one of the visions.

Another moment was when Han was head tilting to signal Finn to turn around and look behind him. I just don't see how he did not pick up that universal body language and started asking Han to quit screwing off.

well he learned his communication skills as a first order storm trooper. there are alot of things he didnt understand communication wise. Saw the movie 3 times now, and everyone found it humorous so not only does the joke work but people get it.

I'm not terribly invested in the idea of Finn being Force sensitive, but I think it would be neat if he became that way. A guy with no Force ability at all, who taps into it by sheer force of will, to put to rest the idea you need to be born with a certain number of magical organisms in your blood to become a Jedi.
