It's as creepy as you want it to be. There's some optional stuff where it's creepy, but you don't need to play it. Then there's the Melinda Megamelons joke but it's not the game's main stuff.
It's a choose your own adventure style action open world videogame, set in Japan at the time when the country was being modernized.

It's more fun that the first one, that's for sure. Although if u didn't like the first one, the second one is kinda similar, but has a better story and is more streamlined. I like to play looting games so it was perfect for me. Sadly there are not many looting fps games with rpg elements on the market. ;_;

According to the Cave game announcement stream, the next Cave game to see a release on Steam is Deathsmiles. It came out in the arcades, followed by the Xbox 360, and then later iOS and Android.
I had more fun playing the original solo than the sequel. I didn't finish the latter until I played through it with a mate.

More strategic, you usually fight few enemies (and you fight them one on one)
You can learn a lot of styles, depending on the sword you wield (and craft your own sword from bits of others)
It's not the best combat system but it can get pretty fun (you can block, dodge, fight unarmed, throw stuff, etc)
It's a shitty, terrible and repetitive as fuck single player game.
I hear it's better in multi.

So I guess it's a no then.
Multi is really, really fun. I can't picture myself playing it solo though.

Well there is a mod for that. I use the PS prompts variant because I use a DS4
Another WotS4 recommendation here. Plenty of jank, but it's just pure fun to play. The humor certainly isn't for everyone, but the choose your own adventure elements work very well within the setting. It's also absolutely worth multiple playthroughs as there's a ton of content to unlock, including certain fighting/gun styles, and each faction's story is actually varied. $20 got me something like 50-60 hours of fun when it first released, and at this price, it's a steal for an underrated gem.

It's gotten to the point that I always check everything I'm planning on buying against my various storefront accounts.
Retail copies activate on Steam. If you desperately want to save some money, it shouldn't be hard to find a key reseller offering the game -- just be aware of the risk.

It's not that they're popular, it's that they're forgotten. There's more than a few game OTs as well that never move to community.
It was heavily bundled, I'd imagine finding one of those keys shouldn't be too hard or very expensive.
I know Assassin's Creed did the same thing in the Autumn Sale (discount after a couple of days), but I don't really like it. There would have been people waiting to see if there was a discount in the winter sale and then buying it even though there was no discount.

Picked up Empyrion: Galactic Survival. Dude, for pre alpha early access I can't believe how much content and how much the game simply works. This is what starforge should have been. There's a reason the reviews are stellar, already got my $11 out of it.
Didn't seem like a price mistake but yeah it's cheapo, I got my money back with the cards. Got a foil even.
