Does anyone know what the microtransactions situation is with Warhammer Regicide? I'm interested in the game, but not if most of the factions are locked behind a paywall or insane grind.
 
What's the general consensus on G2A? My brother in law gave me a bunch of mystery Steam liscences for chrtistmas. Won't know what they are untill I redeem them. Any risks to my account? What happens if I already happen to own the game? Will it move to my gift inventory?

G2A is smelly and you're potentially hurting devs.
But their shit isn't a risk for your account. If you try to activate games you already have it just won't let you and somebody else may use the keys.

Refund your brother and get one that buys from authorized resellers.

G2A is not recommended for several good reasons. They're shady as they come and I would advise you to not redeem them.

Nah can't do that. Gifted horse and all. I'll just make up some games and pretend I redeemd them. He does not have me on Steam anyway :P

I wouldn't recommend buying from them yourself, but the worst that can happen is they get revoked. Probably not worth rocking the boat with your relatives over it, especially if he's a non-gamer who was just trying to do something nice. Perhaps mention your preferred vendors for next time.

You're perfectly fine, it's only in this thread where people will say you're gonna get robbed blind by them. They had a few issues a year or two ago but since then have been clean, I'd pull up a thread about this but I'm too lazy.

Redeem the keys. G2A are a scummy site but if the keys happen to be have been acquired through dodgy means the only thing that will happen is the games will be removed from your account. If you already own the game, Steam will tell you, and then you can give the key to someone else.

Wrong. Large amounts of keys on their marketplace are bought using stolen credit cards or acquired from duping the developer (by pretending they're a reviewer, for example).

I am not saying refund the games. As people said, you'll be fine. At worst your shit gets revoked. I said refund your brother for a newer and better sibling.
 
Finished up Tales from the Borderlands

All the episodes were really good. Each in its own way. The soundtrack was great as well.

If Telltale pours as much heart into Batman as Tales I think they could do a lot of good things. A lot of potential there with their style and Gotham. Looking forward to it.

Nothing is going to get revoked. Some of these "Unauthorized keys will be revoked" choir members have no idea what are they talking about. Those mystery keys on G2A consist mostly of bargain basement games picked when they were given for free, -90% off or in massive bundles. For example 8 keys from the 1.5$ bundlestar bundle. The higher tier mystery keys are mostly left-over higher profile games that were on sale on different websites but aren't on sale anymore. Unless you like this crap gambling, you are going to get useless games that aren't even worth those mystery prices. They also throw a ton of duplicates, you can get 5x same games in the 10 mystery key bundle.

Just redeem them, they are legit keys and developers got paid for issuing them.
 
You the option where you can copy someone's game files from the Steamapps > common folder? It's great if you're internet is terrible and your friend already has the game installed. After you copy the files, you click install in Steam and it discovers the files, so you can install it without downloading. For a few games, this does not work. Namely, The Witcher 3. It will "discover" the files but then redownload the entire game anyway. Does anyone who uses this method know how to fix this?

Edit: Maybe it does work to some extent. The Witcher 3 jumped from 0MB downloaded to 16GBs download in a few minutes.

The game world IS complete. Blood and Wine will add a whole new map. As in you must travel to it via a loading screen. Hell, even if it didn't, I doubt you'd even see everything there is to see before B&W does come out.
 
I'm still pleasantly surprised at this sale, most of the stuff I was interested in is either at its all time lowest price or close to it. The only major publishers that I've noticed cheaping out on the discounts are Activision and Ubisoft.
 
So I really want to play either FF 13 or 13-2. I hear 13-2 is better and has a primer for the 1st game. Should I skip straight to 13-2 or play 13 1st?

You can set up a SA paypal account for it using a virtual credit card, its a little fiddly and you lose a big using the virtual CC and the forex charges, but if you buy from Nuuvem a lot it may be worth it.

You could use the Backup system instead.

Could still turn out either way considering the last 2 games by them --- GoT and Minecraft isn't exactly good.

13-2 is more focused than FF13 and is ultimately the better game. It still isn't that great.

However if you were going to bother to play it, and I wouldn't recommend doing so, you need to get through FF13 to make it a little worthwhile. Good luck with that.
 
Why does adding unreleased games to your wishlist not show up in the activity feed most of the time? Right now it doesnt show that I wishlisted rise of the tomb raider
