If it makes you feel better, Moon Studios said getting Ori will get you a loyalty discount towards the Definitive Edition.

Probably not what you intended but I completely forgot they were releasing a definitive edition. Guess it was delayed to Spring of next year so I'll probably just play other things until then. Thanks!

So should I buy the first episode of King's Quest? Damn cheap but I hate buying things episodically. I guess it's never gonna be cheaper hey.

still 53 cards to idle for....

Hmh wonder what the chances are that Nuclear Throne will actually go on sale. Feels like the wisdom of "wait for the daily or last day" still stands with games popping into the sale.

I've seen quite a few people ask about Nuclear Throne. I have one spare copy so if someone wants to trade for it, I was thinking of something like A Beginner's Guide (currently $5.39).

I got 4 bucks. What am I buying GAF?

Momodora III (1,99€)
One Finger Death Punch (2,49€)
Hexcells Complete Pack (2,69€)
Puzzle Agent (1,24€) & Puzzle Agent 2 (2,49€)
Half Minute Hero & Half Minute Hero 2 (1,99€ each)
Ys I+2 Chronicles+ (3,59€)
Ys: The Oath in Felghana (3,59€)
Octodad: Dadliest Catch (3,49€)
Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale (3,74€)
Escape Goat 1 (1,99€) or Escape Goat 2 (3,99€)
if you don't mind weird games, Hatoful Boyfriend (1,99€)

No games for me this sale other than Undertale which I gifted to my cousin as I'm moving to Austin after new years. Buy lots of games you will never play for me!

The episodes can stand on their own two feet and the first one is suprisingly lengthy, around seven to ten hours.
It's also really great.

So yeah, you should go get it for a dollar. ;)

There's also the most recent Tex Murphy game, though I don't know if it relies on some prior knowledge of the series (I've never played a Tex Murphy game myself).

I played Tesla Effect without playing the previous ones. There do seem to be some callbacks to the previous games (and even FMV clips of same) but I never felt lost because I didn't play the others. Would I have taken away more from it if I did? Possibly. But it's a good game on its own.

Christmas is just past us, and my birthday is coming up in a lil over two weeks so here's something from me to you, GAF. Was going to post this on my birthday but I noticed a post or two about some folks being new to Steam so figured I'd post it now in case there was something in here someone wanted but hadn't got yet.

It's not much, but hopefully there's a few items folks want. Multi-entry, so please take them all.

I've bought wayy too many games during this sale, but fuck it, I'm about to get an Alienware Alpha (after not having a gaming PC ever), and with the apparent $600+ I saved during the Steam sale it practically paid for itself :\

I wasn't sure if buying or not Stick of Truth, but now it doesn't matter because it isn't in sale anymore!

It is usual to add or remove discount to games during a sale?
Which publishers usually do this?

So my funds for Steam is 1180ish php

which of the two should I get

this

or
SeO1b3M.jpg

alternatively could suggest replacements, etc.? Like, would I get more time from Grandia II over Desktop Dungeons?

Can you guys come up with a lot of disc based games that have hit steam from the pre 2005 era? Also some of the pc only games that were hitting in the era of ps3/360 era

I'm talking about games like

PS1 Era-

Tomb Raider
Quake etc

"Xbox PS2 Era"

Max Payne
Project Snowblind
Deus Ex: Invisible War
Red Faction
Return To Wolf

360 Era

Fear and so on

Sometimes it's just hard to know what is on steam and it isn't exactly easy to search for games ffor those specific things either. Basically, bigger budget non old games and pc games.

It's mostly the forgotten games I am looking for (not half life etc)

I did buy

max payne
project snowblind
serious sam
indianna jones (lucas arts has the adventure pack btw)
brutal legend
amnesia
armed and dangerous

Also wondering, any good

Old flight sims like pilotwings out there?

I really have a rough time knowing what is on steam other than searching endlessly for things randomly it seems.

Really hope you guys can help me out here.

For PS4, PC version has always been Q1 2016, but now we know it is January. :D

Weird. I have no idea where I got it from. Guess I wasn't paying attention.

Tomb Raider was a nice surprise. If Rise is the same only better (and it is, from what I've heard), it'll be worth keeping an eye on.

Is SOMA worth it it at that price? My backlog is building...lol

I'm on mobile so sorry for kinda half assed post but I think it is if you want a thought provoking and story heavy game. If you know what the gameplay is like and it looks like somethimg you'd like, go for it. It's definitely one of my personal favorites of the year and the story will stick with me for a while.

Empire TV is the first game I've ever requested for refund. It's pretty bare bones and have you looking at words and tables more than the activities on screen.
You can skip that.

Tron 2.0 and some other Disney games might qualify for ya!

Someone remind me again which is the good shadowrun game Returns or Dragonfall?

but from what I heard it's like game dev story
I mean its a tycoon game of running a TV channel, looking at the audience charts and having people make scripts to produce your own shows are part of the activites on the screen. I enjoyed it, but to each their own I guess.

Dragonfall and Hong Kong. Returns is ok, but Dragonfall and Hong Kong are light years beyond it IMO.
