Looking for couple people to jump in on a Project Zomboid 4-pack. My fiance' and I = (2), so if there are any GAFers who want to jump on board feel free to PM me. Cheers!

I love Knurek!

Anyway, I think I might just create a "Gave Up" folder and put games in there I have given a try and quickly lost interest in. Seriously, I play a game for one hour, and then move onto another one for one hour, and then another one again. I guess that's fine.

So possibly better textures on the laptop with better performance to boot as well as the last gen ports ps4 gets hitting 60 instead of 30 as well if I am reading that right.

BF 4 ultra at 50 plus fps should net me ultra Battlefront ultra and blow past ps4's version possibly.

Looks like it would easily out perform PS4 and I can just hold off on some games til they are cheaper and hit them up on the laptop.

I see what you mean (although I haven't played it yet). It's biggest selling point for me was definitely the atmosphere, I imagined it like a point and click version of the movie alien. I do however know that imagination will generally always get the better of me.

I'm sure I'll give it another chance eventually anyway, more open-minded. I think the problem is that I had this clear idea in my mind of how the game was going to be and when it wasn't exactly like that I was disappointed. So in a way it's my own fault.

Next time I'll play it in English too, the Spanish translation wasn't terrible but I think that might have been part of the reason I didn't like it.

SR is basically like like Old School Syndicate. My only complaint is there isn't any pausing and I keep getting my ass kicked. Pretty fun so far.

I've heard some negative stuff about the first part of the game being much more strict and linear then the rest of the game, something you agree with?

That's... not a bad idea at all.

You could go further and break the Gave Up folder into 2 folders. Gave Up Not Worth It and Gave Up Come Back.

There are games I've done a few hours in, liked it enough, but had other games/things come up or just simply wasn't in the mood for it. Teslagrad, for example. Had a good time while I played it with no real reason not to continue; I just didn't continue.

Sold a bunch of cards and bought a game and never received an email confirmation, also it seems that Steam is having issues with the forums, I can't access to them!

Ah comments work like that then. Let me know if you don't get the Steam Key so i can send it to you :X

Honest question: how much "playable" are Bloodrayne games those days?

What I want to know:

-are they hard (combat, figure out what to do)?
-are they maze-like (high chance to get lost in the levels)?
-are they long?

This is a scheduled automated repost on behalf of Arthea, who is running this raffle.

any fighting games on steam that have an active online community? I have sff4 ultra but to my surprise no one is playing it on PC anymore.

Yes. Dusk Golem, a GAFer with a game on Steam, mentioned the other week that it is practically impossible for developers to quietly publish an infected executable as Steam's backend runs a virus/malware check on all uploaded files.
I want to explain the process since it's an odd mixture of complicated/simple, but Steam doesn't like their inner workings being known. I'll just say when you're uploading stuff to their servers they do scan everything and have a very different system that I'm used too.

Guilty Gear Xrd is pretty hot right now but is not discounted.
This being the LAST week of the Winter Seal we might see more titles get discounted hopefully :X

Yo DG, did you play Higurashi yet? Let me tell you just Ep. 1 was the scariest shit I've ever read and experienced in a video game for a time.

I am torn between Bladestorm and Nobunaga.

I recommend Nobunaga. Bladestorm is a good port but a dull game.
The Nobunaga game is strategy game if you're into that. Plus you can do this

I just saw the suggested requirements for dragon dogma. Isn't the CPU a little too high? I mean, it's last gen right? Processor: Intel Core i7-4770K or equivalent

I'll say one thing for the new sale layout. With little need to scour for price changes/check the store every 8 hours, I've played so much more of what I've purchased and had queued up this batch of holidays.

Valve destroying all the beloved Steam traditions.

Like not playing games.

I'm guessing they are implying that the game is fully multi-threaded. Conversely, the lower-end requirements are very low.

I'm getting the impression that the game is very scalable and optimized considering the range of settings.

Reposting from the Hidden Gem Indie Thread:

So I just decided it annoys me to no end that Cubesis has "mixed" reviews (20 reviews so far). Definitely doesnt deserve that. I'll gift out 8 or so copies of Cubesis for impressions here (and preferably steam reviews to push up that review average, if you like it). Preferably send me your email address via PM.

Just be aware that its a rather challenging puzzle game, requiring a lot of micromanagement. If you like digging into a games mechanics and dont necessarily need the satisfaction to finish a level within 5 minutes or mind replaying a level until you figure out how to solve it, this might be for you.

Please dont take a copy if you have the attention span of a fish ;)

Alternatively, just purchase it yourself for $1, you cheapos. :p

You can check out more info about the game in the thread I made:

Maybe they recommend playing it at 120 FPS :P

Whenever I use my Dual Shock 4 with my PC, and goes like 1 meter away from the bluetooth USB dongle, it loses its connection completely. So it only works wired.

What kind of Bluetooth USB do I need to look for? Do anyone have a link to one on Amazon?

In Skullgirls there are usually a few lobbies going on. Mostly high skill though.
Guilty Gear Xrd has a relatively healthy community at the moment but that's mostly due to it releasing only a few weeks ago.

Reminder that Xrd comes with all dlc until 12th january. Everyone buy it :v

Is there some kind of promotion for Divinity: Original Sin? My friend got 2 copies of the game but I don't see anything in the description.

Some thoughts and questions:

This Book is a Dungeon is an incredible title. I don't have much interest in the actual game.

The Hidden Gem Indie thread is the best thread. Every time it pops up. So good.

What are people using for their Wii U Pro controllers? Preferably, I'd like it to be Mac compatible, since I'd been borrowing my ole lady's Air for the few classes I was taking. I'd use the Steam controller but I don't want to have anything in the USB ports. Unless that works with Bluetooth without the dongle?

Speaking of, Enhanced Steam doesn't support Safari, which is actually a good thing, because I know how much jshackles loves hate mail so I should type up something punctuation-free and badly worded for him.

I should get the other Ys games that I don't have but I haven't played the ones that I do. It looks a little bit Secret of Mana-ish. I wish they were local co-op.

I'm thinking of going badge crazy for a bit while it can basically fund itself.

Has anyone played Submerged? Kinda getting an Ico vibe.

Its a very mixed bag, while it does have some beauty to it, it suffers from being incredibly short, being too linear/easy and never giving you the feeling of exploring the world. I thought it had its merits, but you can get like 5-7 great games for the same price during the sale (10$) instead.

Also to anyone else, new page but the Cubesis offer still stands.

I prefer Super Turbo Lighting over sweetfx profiles. I would also suggest 'ImmersiveCam' mod, brings Geralt closer to the screen, like in the E3 demos.

Tried both now and I prefer STLM over E3FX as well.
