I quit playing Darksiders 2 after I reached Earth and just never picked the game back up. Decided I wanted to get back in, but didn't want to pick up where I left off, so I bought Darksiders 1 and upgraded Darksiders 2 to the Deathinitive Edition. I also got Dropsy, which has been really charming so far after just an hour or so of playing.

I've never really played the franchise myself, but I have a roommate who's really into Legend of Zelda and I had her in mind when I bought the first Darksiders since I heard it has a lot less RPG and more Action Adventure than the sequel. Will a big time Zelda fan enjoy a playthrough of Darksiders 1? Because I probably won't play through it by myself in all honesty.

finally bought it.

Darksiders 1 is generally considered the better of the 2.
It's an Action Adventure game that involves exploration and some light puzzle solving. You do gain abilities later on that allow you to go back and pick up upgrades that you missed out on.
Combat is simple but I enjoyed it for what it was.

That's unfortunate. Currency problems are a real shame.
Which is why I intend to buy the Higurashi bundle directly from MangaGamer. Bundle price is exactly the same as Steam figure-wise, except again, dollars.

I did buy Nekopara from Steam since it had the lowest price anywhere.

I just requested a refund for DS2: Deathinitive Edition. It's still quite buggy, it's been over a month since the last (beta) patch, and the devs are not answering the steam forums. They may have abandoned it already.

dem idle temps tho.

here's my max GPU temps while benchmarking

here's mine. your motherboard is significantly cooler than yours, i wonder why. do you have a dedicated cooler for it? i've always known sub-thirties to be normal temp for motherboards, but yours is very cooled.

also, gpu looks a little hot while idle but i guess that's amd for ya. never had trouble with it and doesn't go higher than 60 at full load.

"Oh that game looks good, oh wait I own it"

I need to dump my Steam Games & Inventory list and create a spreadsheet/database with the game lists i have from Steam, GOG, BundleStars, Humblebundle, Groupees and elsewhere! I reckon i have about 800 digital games on PC and i need to find duplicates so i can trade 'em too.

Creating a simple text file with all my non-steam digital games has been bloody handy over the sales but i need to get properly organised and add my Amazon, Bandcamp, Groupees albums, Comics and ebooks to something centrally searchable as well.

PSA new Thief players: Turn off the stupid Focus thing immediately, better: put your difficulty on 700+. Not only will you get an achievement, but this also makes this game actually good, instead of goddamn boring and awful.

Thank me later.

Wonder how many own the vanilla Shooter and don't really know what the Ultimate brings.

Yeah, it should perhaps have been named something like Pixeljunk Shooter 1+2 Ultimate.

Also have to wonder how many owners of the original Shooter were kinda mad that it's not actually a shooting game.

Have you heard about any such people? :) I mean one look at one screenshot should tell anyone what kind of game it is, and if not that then the trailer that autoplays on the store page would certainly tell that.

I use isthereanydeal but even that isn't perfect

I think you two are confused, the free game you get is one from the last months selection, so the only benefit to canceling and redoing it would be to get a second copy. And getting it everyone other month, you'd wouldn't be getting 5-6 games from one of the months you skip so I don't see how that's anymore in the consumers favor.

I think you are the one thats confused if you cant see any benefit to getting an extra copy of one game every month :p

Game of the forever. *bow bow*

I don't know if I would call game of the forever, though you can probably play it forever, lol.

Last bump!

You can only polish a turd so much.

These are my thoughts. I played the game. I don't think that's all that's necessary to fix it, or even simply make it good. There were too many other problems outside of difficulty and Focus.

Even if you magically fix the subpar audio, music, and mechanics, the story was still bad.

Isn't the Garrett I know and love.

Other opinions may vary, but as a guy who loved the shit out of Thief 1 and 2, and thought 3 was pretty decent, yes. It has quite a few very memorable heists and moments, and also the ending is utter shit. But I really honestly liked it enough to finish it and continueing doing side stuff afterwards.

Although I also gotta say Styx is the far better game altogether.
