Yep, it's a disaster.

Deadly Premonition was one of my favorite games of 2010. It deserves a waaaaaay better port.

Are you using DPfix?
http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/?tag=dpfix
Now, I haven't actually ever booted up the game, but it's supposed to fix the game. Or at a least make it look and run pretty.
Also, the looking upwards thing might be a joystick deadzone. Did you play with a gamepad or had one hooked up?

It doesn't really run poorly after first installed, it runs poorly if you haven't restarted Windows right before playing (so your suggestion still works). I still don't know exactly why.

I installed Deadly Premonition about 2 months ago and I had these exact same problems. Using a DS4 controller completely fucked up the button mapping whilst using an Xbox One controller causes the camera to face upwards constantly. I dunno if there are known fixes for this.

I didn't know restarting my PC would fix framerate but next time I'll give that a try. Tbh, I don't care about textures and framerate (as long as I can get 30fps) as much as actually being able to play the game.

I'm hoping you guys know some fixes, especially Durante :P

Went to redeem couple of Humble Bundles I bought during christmas and I was excited about owning TR1-3... then I noticed that Anniversary, Legend and Underworld were added today. SUPERB

Ugh, I can't make up my mind with Civ V. Buy it or not. Bought IV back in the day, cause it really interests me, but only put in 8 hours into. Not sure why.

Civ V complete on discount is one of best deals you'll ever get on steam. Dont think about it, there's a reason why it keeps being in the top 10 most played game after all those years.

Convoy is a tactical roguelike-like inspired by Mad Max and FTL in which you cross a wasteland in search of parts for your broken ship. Presented in pixel art and set in a future post-apocalyptic setting, Convoy is a squad based tactical combat roguelike-like in its core.

Deathstate is a roguelike, bullet hell, single stick shooter set in a bizarre world of dimensional exploration for pc and mac. You play as a number of unique characters trying to discover the fate of Professor Elinberg who opened a portal to the void.

Still haven't found an RTS that feels as visceral and intense as Company of Heroes. It was my first RTS too, so maybe that's why it made such an impact. I really enjoy Dawn of War 2, but Company of Heroes is just an another level

Any recommendations for those kind of intimate squad/unit-level RTS's?

do it

get the complete pack

is good

it's easier to get into than 4

Yea, that's what I read. I just had lack of time back in the day and never got into it.

Buy Endless Legend or Age of Wonders 3 instead.

The fantasy aspect actually turns me off, to be honest. Thanks for the recommendations, though!

Yea, that's what intrigues me as well. It just keeps being up there with the most played games, which is crazy.

going through the discovery queue just goes to show just how filled with derivative crap steam really is

There are more scifi orientated races in endless legend. The variety is actualy super refreshing, as you can be fighting dragons and shit with your mechs and lasers. Really fits into the whole grand space aspect of the endless series.

It's also not very wise and doesn't take your preferences into account much. I said not interested to an Assassins Creed game and a Neptunia game and they still show me all the other titles in the series in my queue.

Mine is similar, if you replace zombie with rogue like.

  • rogue like
  • rogue like
  • rogue like
  • rogue like/tower defence
  • rogue like
  • rogue like/strategy
  • rogue like

I don't even like the genre.

Been super long since I played it, but World in Conflict should still be pretty good.

My queue today was like 75 percent anime visual novels, for whatever reason. You'd think after putting Not Interested in a few, it wouldn't suggest many more. At least not the frigging sequel to one I marked that way, at least.

Yesterday it was a lot of roguelikes.

Mine this morning was

  • Survuval game with crafting in a fantasy universe
  • Survuval game with crafting in a sci-fi universe
  • Survuval game with crafting... well you get the point
  • Survuval game with crafting... There's a pattern emerging
  • Survuval game with crafting... really there are this many on steam
  • Survuval game with crafting... someone actually made this
  • Survuval game with crafting... Next, next, NEXT!
  • Survuval game with crafting... At least I get a card out of this
  • Survuval game with crafting... I wonder if even 1/4 of these will ever leave early access
  • etc...

I got at least 8 Lego games today. I didn't even know they made that many.

Traveller's Tales has almost got the same factory production line attitude as TellTale.

It must be something about their name that makes them take this strategy: in goes licensed property, out comes formula game. Though TBH, the Lego games work a lot better.

Oh my god yes! I got like every single but one or two out of the 36 titles be anime visual novels. I just beat Analogue: A Hate Story and only have a free anime visual novel installed with zero playtime, so maybe back off a bit, steam? Just won't take no for an answer.

Hi Steam Gaf,

It's been a long time since I've lurked here, much less posted anything. Just got too busy with other stuff. But seeing the Holiday Sale made me think of you guys. Here are some Tomb Raider keys from the current Humble Bundle. Happy holidays!

you guys still haven't caught up on steam discovery queue being anything but personal?

Anybody actually preodered Division? There is no talk about it in steam threads like at all, so I was wondering, I get it regularly for "discovery"
