Far Cry 4 finally on sale... for a lot more then it was in the ubi store :/

But I think I will still buy it, had a lot of fun with three...

My queue just showed me a game called Broforce. It looks to be a sprite-style platform/shooter with Rambo-esque over-the-top characters.

Did Dudebro get renamed, or did someone else take the entire framework at release it themselves?

completely unrelated games... and Broforce is pretty awesome!

I was browsing my library and I have a couple of extra games that I don't think I will play. So, 3 games to give away.

This is also my first giveaway. I hope everything is done correctly.

I got Far Cry 4 a few weeks ago when Origin had a price glitch (got the Gold Edition for $15...the regular one was $8 I think but the Mexican Origin store was even cheaper)

It was 10€ for the "limited" edition on the ubi store over christmas... and now it's 16€ for the normal version Steam... ubi is really trying to bully people to use there store...

Can anyone recommend a good turn-based game with controller support, in pretty much any genre? I want to lay on my couch and relax, but I can't really find what I'm looking for. I've played XCOM, Divinity, Wasteland 2.

Looking at Massive Chalice, vaguely remember hearing mixed things about it. Any opinions on that?

are we doing the adding ppl thing?

here's mine then: http://steamcommunity.com/id/zkylon

i think most regulars should be on my list but anyways

Is it time for shadownet to add people on steam and delete them 3 months later without comment again? Truly a neverending circle.
lol

Added both to wishlist, I'll get them in the near future with some card money
i really recommend you give recettear an honest shot, it's super fun to play, story's really fun with fun characters and general funness overall and the gameplay loop of exploring dungeons and getting items to sell so you can upgrade your shop and your dudes and explore some more is really enjoyable

it's kind of frightening at first cos there's a time limit and everything but there's ng+ and even if u lose you start out with everything you had so second run is already a whole lot easier than the first

maybe child of light, transistor, or halfway. Hard to tell what turn-based you like if you don't like those you listed, plus lots of the good turn-based don't have controller support. Maybe any of the older final fantasies too.

Yeah Ubisoft seems to really want to puch their own service by having really shitty discounts on steam if you compare to uplay.

I won't switch to uplay I will just stop buying thweir games completly.

We'd like to follow up with more information regarding Steam's troubled Christmas.

What happened

On December 25th, a configuration error resulted in some users seeing Steam Store pages generated for other users. Between 11:50 PST and 13:20 PST store page requests for about 34k users, which contained sensitive personal information, may have been returned and seen by other users.

The content of these requests varied by page, but some pages included a Steam user’s billing address, the last four digits of their Steam Guard phone number, their purchase history, the last two digits of their credit card number, and/or their email address. These cached requests did not include full credit card numbers, user passwords, or enough data to allow logging in as or completing a transaction as another user.

If you did not browse a Steam Store page with your personal information (such as your account page or a checkout page) in this time frame, that information could not have been shown to another user.

Valve is currently working with our web caching partner to identify users whose information was served to other users, and will be contacting those affected once they have been identified. As no unauthorized actions were allowed on accounts beyond the viewing of cached page information, no additional action is required by users.

How it happened

Early Christmas morning (Pacific Standard Time), the Steam Store was the target of a DoS attack which prevented the serving of store pages to users. Attacks against the Steam Store, and Steam in general, are a regular occurrence that Valve handles both directly and with the help of partner companies, and typically do not impact Steam users. During the Christmas attack, traffic to the Steam store increased 2000% over the average traffic during the Steam Sale.

In response to this specific attack, caching rules managed by a Steam web caching partner were deployed in order to both minimize the impact on Steam Store servers and continue to route legitimate user traffic. During the second wave of this attack, a second caching configuration was deployed that incorrectly cached web traffic for authenticated users. This configuration error resulted in some users seeing Steam Store responses which were generated for other users. Incorrect Store responses varied from users seeing the front page of the Store displayed in the wrong language, to seeing the account page of another user.

Once this error was identified, the Steam Store was shut down and a new caching configuration was deployed. The Steam Store remained down until we had reviewed all caching configurations, and we received confirmation that the latest configurations had been deployed to all partner servers and that all cached data on edge servers had been purged.

We will continue to work with our web caching partner to identify affected users and to improve the process used to set caching rules going forward. We apologize to everyone whose personal information was exposed by this error, and for interruption of Steam Store service.

this is all it says:

nothing else under recent news. and when i click on dlc in the tab, it says there are no dlc available.

Right, I forget that people have different skins! Right click on the game in the list and click 'view downloadable content'? If you own the whole season, then it should look something like this. If not, then you've only got the 1st episode. Which means you need to pick up the Life is Strange Season Pass (Episodes 2-5).

guess i only have episode 1 then, thanks

considered charging more money and getting FarCry 4 and Watch doge but man idk

I do wanna play far cry but I think I can wait for cheaper. also Dying Light probably spoiled me with the character movement

Sorry, should've been more clear - I really liked XCOM Divinity and Wasteland. Played Child of Light (didn't care for it) and beat Transistor. I'll check out Halfway though, thanks.

Trails, Neptunia, Fairy Fencer F, Final Fantasy games (YMMV when it comes to the XIII series), Breath of Death 7, Cthulhu Saves the World
