Really looking forwarding to playing all these fine games I purchased.

I'm making my way through the new games I picked up. I'm about 65% through Finding Teddy 2, a good 9 hours into Wolf TNO, and a tiny bit into Undertale. I'm going to try to get through those before DD drops. The only other game I picked up is STASIS and TIS.

Any MP shooters/action on sale that GAF still plays alot of? I havent played with steam gaf aside from back in the TF2 / L4D days (when there was a GAF game every night), abit into Chivalry, and some Dead Island co-op.

Happy New Year's, you SteamGAF mo'fukkas. Enjoy.

How is FT2?
Read some conflicting reviews on Steam page. Navigation is okay, or does the lack of map hurt the game?

Done with this sale. My damages:

This War Is Mine
Cities: Skyline
Transistor
Shadowrun Dragonfall/Hong Kong
Homeworld Remastered

Hoping to play Skyrim, Alien: Isolation, NWN2, and Dark Souls this year. Having nothing but time on hand, I may finally get through my backlog!

P.S. I would have bought Undertale and Ori if they existed on Amazon. Alas, they don't, and I don't have any credit on Steam.

Well, I'm done with the sale now.

[IMGhttp://img1.imagehousing.com/99/ea5242fcd6c3b785a3dc4e1360c4bbde.jpg[/IMG]

The following were gifts from friends:
-Undertale (from our own Infy. ;3;)
-Blad the Impaler
-Day of Defeat Source
-Oceanhorn: Monsters of Uncharted Seas
-Flora's Fruit Farm
-Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey
-Metal Gear Solid V
-Clickteam Fusion 2.5 Developer Upgrade
-Drawn: The Painted Tower
-HuniePop

Only a few purchases off site, which include:
-UmiharaKawase Shun
-Dragon's Dogma

And some bundle stuff.

Good sale for me.

Nice haul. What is your opinion on Clickteam Fusion?

Don't know if you are reading the ARG thread but you can get a free profile badge and 100exp by going to the Ikaruga store page and just typing SEARCH (not in the search bar). A password prompt will come up and just enter 1v7531 and you will get the badge.

Also Happy New Years everybody.

I'm in ikaruga store page
I type SEARCH on keyboard
nothing happens :X

Thea: The Awakening is a Unity game. I don't know that I would've bought it knowing this beforehand. The janky UI and plain translation are grating. Fortunately the concept is pretty cool, at least initially... we'll see how far it goes.

(´・ω・`)

Play Shadowrun: Hong Kong
because it's better than Dragonfall.

All the kawaii in the world won't make those spoilers true. Sorry.

Nothing beats Glory.

Yea I forgot you gotta press enter after SEARCH as well lol. I think it only works on the site and not the client. Make sure you are logged in and try other browsers if it doesn't work with Firefox.

I'm having a hard time figuring out my own feelings on the game. I'll say this: I like it so far, but I don't love it yet. The lack of a map hurts a bit, but it hasn't been too bad yet. The levels haven't been too long yet. I'll update you on my final thoughts when I finish the thing.

I picked it up for $5, and I think that's a decent price to wait for if you're considering it.

Guess we don't have encore anymore at the end, as there are no dailies... interesting to see if Ubisoft has an encore sale of their own, considering they've been doing their own thing so far. :P

Bought Door Kickers a few hours ago, it seems really solid. I keep seeing people compare it to Hotline Miami and XCOM but really it reminds me of the SWAT games but built around the old school Rainbow 6 planning phase without being overly complex and unforgiving. Kind of trial and error but I like that about games. Lots of unlockables. Very fun!

I bought this yesterday, looking forward to playing it.

Currently debating picking up Sleeping Dogs or some Telltale games. I seem to change my mind every 5 minutes about what to buy

Edit: Bought XCOM out of nowhere

You all not playing your games creep me out.

I finished Undertale and I'm close to finishing D4, Flywrench and Mini Metro. All bought during this sale.

I finished this morning The year walk, close to finishing Dark Matter and Broken Age, and I'm also playing Mario and Luigi Dream Team Bros...

Hey now, I'll have you know that i'm playing a game quite heavily. The only thing is that it's not on Steam! :p

Trails of Cold Steel is awesome!

Renowned Explorers: International Explorers is amazing so far.

So far I've:

  • Been told to check my privilege by a Witch Doctor
  • Successfully performed in a viking play
  • Punched out a slaver
  • Annoyed a Frenchman
  • Successfully convinced a group of ravenous Scorpions to change their way and leave me alone
  • Told such a bad joke that only one old lady laughed and that wasn't because it was funny
  • Haven't killed anyone as I'm able to excite/cajole/impress everyone to my side. Though I did compare someone to a frog for a debuff.
  • etc...

Still playing Deus Ex HR Director's Cut full stealth and no killing. 17 hours in, and I only just arrived in
Heng Sha
. :/

So much for that 52 games a year challenge.

Sonic Lost World worth $15?

I have been wondering this as well. I'd ask if its worth 7.50 though

Or just how does it actually play?

Speaking as a Sonic fan, ehhhh. It's trying to be Mario Galaxy, with Koopalings in tow, but it's not very good at it. They did improved a few quality of life things for the PC version, but stripped out the multiplayer and Nintendo-themed DLC levels, unfortunately.

Sonic's new controls can be clunky, and they even behave slightly differently in different situations, a massive no-no.

Unofficial mod support is moving fast, for what it's worth.

If you haven't played Generations before, pick that up instead.

Is this like Expeditions Conquistador?

Is this like Expeditions Conquistador?

There are definitely some commons elements, choose a group of disparate individuals for an expedition, head forth and seek riches. The setting is a lot lighter though, no spreading cholera among the Aztecs for kicks here!

It has a really interesting mechanic, there are 3 types of "attacks:" friendly, devious and agressive and they interact in a rock, paper, scissors type of game and how your stance compares to the enemies creates a defining mood for the encounter with advantages and disadvantages for each side.

Also I just got my arse kicked by a group of monkeys that teased me and called me snails to the point that my kindly crew just couldn't take it anymore and gave up.

Sonic Lost World worth $15?

Unless it's been drastically changed from the Wii U version, no not really. I'd pay 5 dollars for it at most.

The moddingcommunity is working at a good pace to make better use of the game.
It's core game isn't very good IMO, but with allowing you to play as Metal Sonic and going so far as to remove the Deadly Six, give it a few months for a worthwhile mod to show up and the game will be worth having then.
