This was a quick project, I'm surprised it was received as well as it has been since I am more than aware of a few flaws it has (train puzzle near the start is really hard, key collecting in one section is tedious), but happy what people liked mostly outweighed what they didn't, and getting close to releasing two more freebie games on Steam within the next couple months (Take the Dream IX and Red Haze).

I found the train puzzle a fair challenge, not too hard, but those kind of puzzles are my jam.

...I will admit that I gave up at the key collecting section because I get easily lost and I couldn't find where to go next.

What are you guys thoughts on LISA and LISA the Joyful? Thinking of picking them up, outside the complete pack.

i've played a few hours of regular lisa and it's a weird one for sure

it's got a sort of morbid humor i had trouble appreciating and there's some difficulty and backtracking issues that just made me not want to play it anymore but someone with a stomach might get further than me

it's interesting for sure

While the key collecting was supposed to be kind of like that, I think I went overboard. I also regret making an early ending, since a lot of people get that ending, and without saying too much, I think the absolute best part of the game is the last stretch, the final 20-40 minutes of the main path. The horror was sort of intentionally designed so it was slow-burn, that then gets muddled, that then gets more and more agonish and nightmarish. But the nightmarish element some do not see because I maybe muddled up the middle a little too much.

But, I learned a lot. I've also watched hundreds of LPs, and I'll be interested to see how people respond to them, though due to what Take the Dream IX is I expect that one to get middling reviews (Red Haze works more off what I learned from CYE). Red Haze has a very atypical game design element where there is technically no wrong choice, but a lot of consequences for your actions.

And currently working with someone now on the art for a few upcoming projects, one of them was GAF-side inspired to try and make a Horror-RPG that's actually scary, so making some interesting plug-ins for that to have a fairly unique battle system.

I don't understand them either. Tried looking it all up online and I'm still in the dark. Luckily other people love them for some reason so its easy card sales for me.
You can basically sell all them, maybe if you got money from selling them you can craft a badge for a game you like that you already have some card for. When you craft a badge you get XP to level up your account. When you level up, every 10 level your chance of getting a booster pack(three random cards for a game) goes up. The rest is just the chance of getting a background you might like or a badge for your profile.

I just basically use the money from selling cards to buy cards of games I like. Its pretty easy to level up and not spend any actual money that way. Also you could just sell them all and never worry about leveling your profile.

Success! Apparently mouse acceleration is a known issue with Alien, so I got it working by limiting framerate to 60 via RTSS, enabling Vsync via Nvidia Settings and disabling in-game Vsync.
Honestly though, should not have been this much work to get non-laggy controls but I'm glad it's smooth sailing now - apart micro-stutter sometimes :(

Can anyone help me remember the name of a game?
It involves time travel and I think it's divided in chapters with a girl protagonist.
Someone made a thread on it recently but the name completely slipped my mind.

Alien: Isolation is a really great looking game with a lot of loving attention to detail. Still stunned at highly detailed documents.

Here a comparison between 1080p+FXAA & 4K+SMAA T2x. Difference is tangible.

What irks me and made me close to google was the high latency in movement though. I can feel too much time crossing between me moving the mouse and the camera in-game moving :/

Yup, the art direction is what makes that game. I actually didn't find it scary whatsoever though except for (big spoiler)
the nest
which is funny because I'm usually a total wuss.

I am in such a gaming rut. Nothing has grabbed me lately, and I always just go back to those same old games I always play. This sale didn't help as much as I hoped it would. Only thing I picked up was Hacknet.

I was in one last month myself. Found I had all this time on my hands now, finished finals, but no game really jumped out at me. Tried forcing it at first, but I couldn't get through more than 10 minutes. Took a break for 2 weeks, things ended up fine. Aside from that, playing a shorter title used to do it for me.

I was feeling the same way almost all fall, I championed through it and am now back to the good ol' "8 hours in a row where did the time go" playing.

Fun fact: playing mad Max at the same time as metal gear solid V started this rut for me. Open-world shooters with too much content in them is a thing I'll skip from now on.

Was able to make Watch_Dogs run by disabling all Uplay in game shit.

Awesome job guys.

I've managed to avoid Uplay so far by playing the AC's I was interested in on consoles but the price mistake on Watch Dogs was enough to get me to take the plunge. I'm dreading how it's going to go.

You've both made grave mistakes. I don't know why the price error would compel you to buy that game. It's just scraping average at best.

Go play undertale or kero blaster.

What are you guys thoughts on LISA and LISA the Joyful? Thinking of picking them up, outside the complete pack.

I'm playing through LISA right now. So far I haven't found it funny at all, but I don't consider that a bad thing. The story is really morbid and bleak, and since I came into it expecting it to be like EarthBound, I was pleasantly surprised to find it's really its own thing.

It's not the kind of game that will make you feel good about life and the world in general, but if you like RPGs that touch on some serious and outright depressing topics from the real world, it's definitely worth playing through. Especially at that sale price.

The character designs are the best part about the game, IMO.

Tecmo not only disappointing with their PC port quality, but their sales. How is Toukiden still $30? I'd actually pay that but I can't convince 2-3 other people who have never tried the genre to throw that much down. Might throw down the $12 on Way of the Samurai 4 I guess, I dunno what to get with $26 in my wallet and the sale ending.

Kurt Russell approved.

Still got a bit of steam monies left...

Which one should I get out of the following?

Sunless Sea
UnderTale
Shovel Knight
Subnautica
The Long Dark
Axiom Verge

Note: I'm just getting one of these... or something else let me know.

Looks cool, ive added it to my wishlist, though maybe next time.

I agree with the bolded.. im sure there'll be deeper discounts in the summer sale... maybe except for The Long Dark which is coming out of EA. I got some money from cards sitting here that I may as well spend now. :)

is Castle Crashers fun? any good Gauntlet-like games worth getting? might grab a bullet hell game as well... really liked DeathSmiles on 360 when i used to have one..

Man The Last Remnant sure has aged well. Im glad I decided to stick to it and finally understand the systems. Not as complicated as I thought and actually pretty fun once you get the hang of things.

That looks way better than I'd have expected.

im kinda leaning towards that actually... is it hard? looking for something light in between pillars of eternity, dirt rally, dark souls.
Difficulty is good
If u want easier games consieded
Kero blaster
Adventures of pip
Freedom planet

Signed up and bought Resident Evil 0 at Green Man Gaming.

Hope I don't get stiffed on the pre-order bonuses.

If it's like Capcom's previous GMG pre-order games, you shouldn't be.

And since GMG's page mentions the pre-order bonuses, you should be good. They have a policy to only include pre-order bonuses on their game page if they're sure their keys will include them.
